what is jishogi

Jishogi is a puzzle game with a fucking masterpiece of a story! its just SO AGAGAUAGAGHEHDJDUDVHFJFNBSHWHEHAGAGGGAGIUGIGUGIAGAUIAGHAJAJJSOSJEB

The puzzles themselves are based on shogi and chess. Though due to how they are constructed, you don’t need to know a damn thing about either of those games to pass the puzzles. They mainly use peices from these games for puzzles, so dont worry, you wont need be solving how to checkmate in 2 or anything like that. They are still extremely fun and interesting to a puzzle loving freak like me. I even got into shogi because of this game.

Though the main highlight of the game is its story. It is a wonderfully told story about its 2 characters, Otonashi Mayu and Fifield. I cant say much more because I do not wish to spoil it. This exert from its store page on steam puts it better than I could, “Part puzzle game, part walking simulator, and part visual novel, Jishogi is a story about revenge, forgiveness, talent, ethics, and sexuality. It features heavy moral ambiguity, and as much potential for evil as there is good.”

If you love puzzles and gay ass bitches then this is the game for you. I can not overstate how fucking good this game is. I am barely giving it any justice for just how fucking masterful this shit is done.

This game deserves to be a fucking cult classic
