PSA THAT I’m back in school so this blog is back to semi-activity, especially this week and next week, because I’m still working out scheduling my assignments and stuff!!! Till when I pop back up!!
Generally speaking, Ritsu tended to leave the clothes shopping for the personal maid he hired or did his shopping online. It helped ease his anxiety a great deal and there wasn’t any incidents, accidental or not. Stress made him clumsy and being around people only heightened that feeling. Combine the two…
‘Get the kimono, get out. Get the kimono, get out. Get the kimono, get out.’ That was what went through his head on repeat. He navigated through the aisles with expertise, offering a small smile to a few who said ‘Hello’, but generally did not say anything back. It was rude and he’d beat himself up for it later. But today, well, it’s not his good day.
Case in point when, due to his inattention, and admittedly greediness, he reached for the kimono that had caught his eye, only to be clash hands with another person.
Thankfully the young lady’s nails hadn’t scratched him.
“A-Ah. Y-Yes. I’m sorry too.” A beat passed. “Um, if you wanted this particular kimono…”
She was embarrassed by her rough movement and inconveniencing the other, though she was surprised by the timidness in his voice. It wasn’t her place to judge such a trait, and when she thought of it it wasn’t in a judgmental way. She was simply surprised - however this trait just made Arisa feel even worse for interrupting her.
Her hands rose in front of her, shaking them wildly at his suggestion.
❝ No, I can’t bother you anymore than I did, right? ❞
It would make Arisa’s task more difficult, but she didn’t want to be greedy. It was common courtesy after all. She had simply reached for the kimono out of her own desire to finish the task. It was something she picked half-heartedly, so how could she take it from someone who could be genuinely interested in buying it? She needed to take her search more seriously - she was doing this for generous, kind neighbors after all!
❝ Besides, I was only reaching at it for the sake of getting out of here. I don’t really know a lot about kimono things... but I’m doing a favor for someone. That’s why you should have it! Because I should sincerely pick something out! ❞
Admittedly, Arisa wanted to ask for help, but how could she ask that of a complete stranger? Of a stranger that she had inconvenienced? She sighed internally. Since I’m in the area, I totally should have called that Writer - he wears kimono... and he has good taste! She thought, but there was no helping it now. Should she just ask? Unbeknownst to her, her face was giving away the conflict that was running in her mind, features twisted into an expression of perplexity.
arisa things i want on my blog =w=;
❛ Yes – of course, don’t worry. I’ll be careful. ❜
He means it sincerely; she could absolutely be right, given how little he still knows about this world and its workings. But even the small ken of his life has had problems like this, and he’s mostly confident that it’s not so terrifying an ordeal. Which makes her reaction – not amusing, but endearing. Definitely endearing.
❛ Ah – ❜ He places one hand up, a universal gesture of peace. ❛ – I’m sure there’s no need for all that. Let me get a glass, alright? He probably just needs some help finding a window. ❜
A strange calm came over her, watching his relaxed appearance. It was oddly reassuring, considering that she was also worried about the bee stining him.
❝ You’re gonna give the bee... glasses?! ❞
However she wasn’t calm enough to understand his statement. The image was absolutely ludicrous, but at this point of her stress, it would make sense that Kureno would say it (even if he didn’t). She pondered what he had said once again, coming to an understanding the second time. However that sensible answer just made her more worried.
❝ Wait, that’s still crazy! You’d have to like, corner it, right?! How do you plan on doing that?? If you just follow it with the glass, it might get really mad! ❞
“Money isn’t an issue.” he remarked flippantly. “I just don’t want so many colors to clash with my own hair color, then I’d end up looking like a clown.”
❝ Then what colors do you prefer? I don’t think red clashes with your hair too much - oh right, the stripes. We should probably get out of the sale section then, right? ❞
“It’s was nothing that bad…Hatori says he likes the new clearing…”
It was infact very bad. First the lawnmower had gotten stuck. It was freed after a strong push, but had then gotten away from her. It barreled forward through several bushes before crashing into a tree.
“You could come and visit…I’m sure you’d like the view…”
A wave of relief hit Arisa at her words, choosing to trust what the clan head had told her. Of course she was still skeptical, but outwardly displaying that wouldn’t get anywhere.
❝ The view of the clearing? I’m sure I’d like a lot of views from the Sohma Estate - it’s a really nice land.
Although visiting would be hard because of work, but I’ll definitely swing by the area whenever I can! ❞
You're an awesome Uo! <3
I’m sorry I’m so sporadically active
“I can see where that would be useful…I tried to use a lawnmower once…It didn’t end well….”
❝ Dare I ask... what happened?❞
Not that Arisa had used the lawnmower perfectly the first time, but she wouldn’t say that it didn’t end well. Arisa was just worried, especially since Akita had recently learned to boil water.
❛ Ah – really? That’s probably not good. ❜
– Probably not, but his voice remains even and unruffled as ever; only a hint of concern makes its way to the surface as he presses an ear to the door, straining for any sign of a hum.
❛ Maybe I can open the window? Surely it would rather be outside – ? ❜
❝ Please be careful, bees are dangerous you know!❞
In this situation she was thankful that he could be the face of rationality... although his calmness about it did worry her.
❝ If you need help, just scream - I’ll get a knife in case you have trouble breaking through the window screen!❞
“It truly has been quite some time Arisa. I learned…how to make raman…What have you done? ”
❝ Ah... that’s good to hear! Yeah, it’s definitely important to know how to do that... I... don’t think I learned how to do anything as important as that. But I learned how to use a lawn mower!❞
“Neither. I don’t look good with striped anything.”
❝ Well... these are the only ones on sale? Besides, solid colors are boring and anything else has a strange pattern on it... or at least I think so?❞
But what does Arisa know about tie fashion?
@gollux-ex-machina
❝ A-chan! It’s been a while, hasn’t it?! What have you been doing since we’ve met?! ❞
@wingtiipped
❝ Wait, be careful! I think I heard a bee in there?!❞
@saru-ritsu
❝ Excuse me! Which tie do you prefer? This red one with navy stripes, or the navy tie with red stripes? Or neither...?! ❞
