Aright I made a master list for my fanfics finally.
I suck at naming things almost as much as I do tagging things. But I used the titles I used for ao3 so if you've come across my work before then you might recognize them after clicking the link. I literally just finished titling them all 5 minutes ago. Hopefully I keep up with this master list.
Also if anyone cares my name on ao3 is annoying_tactician
This is my journey at becoming a good writer again and fighting brain rot.

The rest of summer went by in a flash, one day she's having coffee with Harvey and Emily, tending to her ever growing army of animals and crops. The next it's nearly 10pm on the last day of summer. Cynthia lost track of time and is now racing to get to the beach to witness what Demetrius described as ‘a can't miss event’ despite it happening every year, ‘it's still a remarkable event of nature.’ She'd been waiting for this event all month and she was about to be late for it.
She's last to arrive like usual but since it's not quite 10pm she figures it’s fine.
Cynthia would like to say hello to everyone but since it's so late she ends up just walking towards a familiar figure standing by themselves at the end of the pier.
“Hey Se…” she begins to say as she trips over a loose board.
Before she eats the planks or falls in the water, Sebastian's arm is wrapped around her waist catching her, “Woah, watch yourself.”
“Oh shit… Thanks.” Cynthia says face going red from embarrassment.
Sebastian lets her go, “No problem.”
“I'm surprised we're the only ones over here.”
“I guess that's what happens when your friends date the popular people in town,” Sebastian shrugs.
“Yeah, I guess so,” Cynthia sighs, “speaking of dating…”
Sebastian raises his eyebrows at her.
“Not us jackass. I wonder when Harvey will finally get the courage to ask Emily out.”
“I should've let you fall in,” Sebastian mumbles, “To be honest I don't think the good doctor will ever ask her. I think she's gonna have to ask him.”
Ignoring his first comment she responds, “You're probably right, I just want the guy to be happy.”
“And people not thinking you're dating would be a bonus.”
“Well, yeah but more the first thing.”
“Whose to say he isn't happy?”
“Seb, be real. He lives alone above his clinic and is currently staring longingly at the woman he's crushing on.”
“I dunno, being by yourself isn't all bad. Makes you appreciate the people who show up more. It's why I want to move to the city. I could disappear into the crowd instead of standing out. I could choose when I get company instead of people barging in.” Sebastian looks longingly out at the water. As if he's imagining his dream life.
“That was my thought too when I moved to the city,” she sighs, Sebastian turns his head to look inquisitively at her, “You might fit in, but do you know how it feels to be surrounded by people yet still feel all alone? A sea of people yet not familiar enough with anyone to reach out when you need them. You get left alone but then you start to miss the company that drops by just because.”
“Heh, maybe you have a point. I guess I've never really had time when I could just be truly alone. Even when I come to the beach in the rain, people can still join me.”
“Why don't you just come hang out on my farm sometime then?”
“Aren't you going to be there, defeating the purpose?”
“If I'm tending to crops or animals then, yeah. But if I'm in the mines or the skull caverns, then no. By the time you wake up I'm already doing something else. It's not the city but it is private. I hide a key in the wood pile. There's a little shelf on the inside. You're more than welcome to hang out.”
“Aren't you worried about inviting a practical stranger into your home when you're not there?”
She rolls her eyes and gives him a look, “Seb I know where you live, I'm friends with your mother. But more importantly, I trust you. So no, I'm not worried. Take me up on my offer or don't. Doesn't really matter to me.”
“You're an odd one, but I think I like it,” Sebastian says with a smile, “it looks like the mayor is about to send the signal out, sit with me. You'll get a better view that way.”
Cynthia accepts the hand Sebastian has offered her and takes a seat next to him. Their legs hanging over the side of the old wood.
“Once I launch this boat then you'll witness true beauty!” Lewis announced. He leans over the edge of the dock and pushes the tiny wooden boat with the candle on top off into the water.
She watches as the boat slowly disappears from sight, wondering what's going to happen next.
A few minutes pass until she sees it. A blue glow starts to come closer to them. It's faint at first and then becomes brighter. At first she can't tell what they are but then she finally makes out their figures. They're jelly fish. Dance of the moonlight jellies finally makes sense now. She turns to look at her friend in excitement and she catches him looking at her.
“Sorry, you just looked so excited. Seeing an outsider's view is kind of beautiful in a way.” He whispers his face turning red, “not I think you're beautiful. I mean not that I think you're ugly. You're not. I'm just saying it's great to see someone's reaction to something new.”
She can't help but giggle at his embarrassment, “it's all good Seb. I knew what you meant but thanks for telling me you don't find me ugly.”
“Yeah… um… anytime…” he's trying to not make eye contact with her.
She smiles and turns her gaze back to the water. Cynthia sees a larger green jelly fish approaching them. She starts to lean forward, maybe a little bit too far. She feels an arm around her waist once again. Turning her head she sees Sebastian smirking at her.
The look only lasts a second but it tells her everything without saying a word. He's not going to let her fall in.
Maybe that's all but she feels like it's something deeper. Like he's letting his walls down, he's scared but he's serious about giving her a real chance.
Cynthia turns her gaze back to the water, reflecting on everything that happened over the last two seasons. So much has happened over such a little amount of time. But it's really only the beginning.

Chapter 9
☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
Sorry this chapter is short. I'm not in a great headspace right now. My coworker took their own life. At the funeral I found out so many things I didn't want to know. But I'm so proud of the “kids” (they're all over 18 but I'm like their work aunt) who showed up to pay their respects. If you're struggling please reach out to someone, a friend, family member, crisis hotline, therapist or trusted person at work. I promise you there are so many people who would rather hear your story than go to your funeral. And if you're supporting someone who is struggling please remember you are allowed to set boundaries and take care of yourself. You can't save anyone if you're also drowning. A friend told me about something called the Be There Certificate. It's less than 2 hours and teaches you how to be there for someone struggling. It looks good on a resume and is pratical. I have my critiques but over all pretty good.
I don't know if I'm going to try to write more chapters or take another break. Thank you for reading my fic 💛
I know y'all are probably getting tired of me saying the same thing every week but this time it's slightly different.
This week's chapter will be much shorter than previous updates. Um a lot has happened in a week but I explain more at the end of the chapter. Just know I changed the premise of the chapter a lot from the what I started writing today because it was very dark. I've also decided to switch from weekly updates to biweekly. I may still be taking a small break to get fully settled into my new job and pass my exams but when I come back I will try to be more consistent with updates on this new model.
This will give me a better shot at not needing another full month off and allow me to write longer chapters each update. I can tell you chapter 9 will cover an entire season again. Chapters 10-13 are more focused around particular events and I don't have much more planned beyond that.
Apparently some people still need to hear this so: using an 'ai checker' is still using ai. If you are feeding someone's fic to one of these checkers, you will still not be sure their fic is ai because they are not 100% accurate, but you can be 100% sure that you are using ai. For fic. Furthermore you are doing the work of an ai scraper for them. You are, personally, feeding the machine. There is no actual excuse for using an ai checker on fanfic as a hobby. YOU are the problem.
If you think a fic is ai, mute it and move on. That's it. That's all you do.
Reblog this if you would not only accept, but welcome fan art, moodboards, etc. of your fics
All of these used to be so common for people to show their appreciation of different fics and authors, and I think it’s a shame people don’t do it anymore. I love seeing fan work for my fics!!
Another design is using 2 20x25x1 filters, taping them to the sides of the box fan and then to each other so they sort of make a triangle, then cutting cardboard to make a top and bottom to the triangle.
This was discovered as a more effective design during the 2020 US west coast fires.
