Extra tidbit about Radahn I discovered and sat on for like a full year
It's bc I was too lazy to actually write them and like 80% of his fans can't act normal ever.
However, I already have his model pulled up for the other armor analysis for the DLC here, so I wrote this anyway bc I still think it's a genuinely cool detail about the game.

Since I got his model for the armor analysis thread, here's a fun Radahn feet theory. Only his left leg has multiple vertical cuts, which likely isn't from being braindead and dragging them along the dunes. Or else his other leg would be similar. They're possibly sword wounds.
As you can see, Malenia's height and sword size match the injury. The wounds aren't so high up she can't use her weight to cut. Keep in mind this woman has insane demigod strength. She can throw a grown man with one hand. Radahn also wears leather caligae. (Note: something easy enough to cut and deteriorates fast over time as compared to metal.)
In this vid, 0.31 he threw the sword. A desperate move for anyone with large weapons. The scene ends at 0.57. 26 secs of him unable to do anything to Malenia as she lunged for his neck, then bloomed. Very likely he already knelt on that leg, unable to close the gap, so he threw.
My conclusion: their clash, as noted by the storyboard, occurred when they were the last two standing. Then cut to the final exchange. Before that, he probably batted her around, and she precisely destroyed his left leg, and perhaps his right foot, until he was unable to stand.
So yeah, I think it's true to the game's
Radahn and Malenia locked in stalemate
*Then,* the scarlet rot blooms.
Likely, she was injured and couldn't land the final blow without the risky gambit, while he was bleeding, at least one of his legs beyond repair.
