so of course edgeworth takes in kay and sebastian after aai2 bc hes a big softie and kay ALREADY almost died and hes not letting her out of his sight thank u VERY much and sebastian. whew. poor kid needs a decent role model. but as the end of the year creeps up on them edgeworth kinda goes "ah hell i have two teenagers in my house and it's almost christmas" and he's TRYING to be a grownup about it bc. theyre his kids and its christmas so hes gotta suck it up and let them have fun (1)

even tho hes still fucked up about his dad dying n von karma and all that. he'll do it. to be a good dad. but then sebastian comes up to him one day n very quietly asks if they can have a menorah, bc his mom used to put one up every year but his dad wasn't religious so they never had one after she "disappeared." n edgeworth is just like. first of all fuck your dad of course we can have a menorah and second of all hes so fucking relieved they dont have to celebrate christmas (2)

so sebastian gets to have his menorah with his new family n edgeworth gets to have warm fuzzy holiday feelings again and kay gets to scam them both out of all of their gelt via dreidel. everybody wins (except at dreidel, which sebastian still cant figure out how kay is managing to cheat at) (3/end)
