@taylorswift I just wanted to tell you that I’m so proud of you. I can only imagine how scary it must be to have the position you have in the world. No one but you knows what it is like to live your life, but I imagine that as wonderful and glamorous as it can seem from the outside, it is also isolating and nerve wracking at times. You have carried yourself so beautifully for such a long time despite the rain storms. Your intelligence, your talent, your witty sense of humor, and your huge huge huge (dare I say again) huge heart has never wavered. I think that’s incredibly special to see. The way you have managed to grow into someone with incredible strength and an obvious unwillingness to take shit from anyone, while also never losing that mind blowing sense of openness you have always seemed to carry with you is unbelievable in the best way possible. it’s Lizette. i’m writing this at 1 am after listening to Lover for the first time (oh and um, crying btw), and i can’t get this out of my head, so i’m writing it down. i start college today, the 23rd of August, and maybe it was purely coincidental that Lover was released the same day?? but oh my gosh. i can’t begin to explain how grateful i am for that coincidence. i move into my dorm 15 hours from now and Lover brought forth such a surge of emotion for me. i’m going to be living in New York Taylor. NEW YORK!!! all the way from my little town in Texas!!! i’ve been FREAKING OUT, i’ve been in a state of background panic for the last month waiting for today; my life is changing and shifting and all the -ing things. BUT. listening to Lover song by song brought me so so SO much peace about everything that seems crazy and messy at the moment and made me BREATHE. it feels like i’m starting an entirely new, beautiful path for myself with you. i can’t put into words how much hope this album has given me despite all of my fear for this next semester and year and the rest of my life really. all i know is that we’re in this together. THANK YOU :,( a million times, thank you. i love you and this album and everything around me might be changing, but you never will.
