Autism Speaks is SCARY.

Seriously. I don’t want anyone to spread lies about autistic people. They have a video where a member of their board, at one point, talks about contemplating murder-suicide on her autistic daughter! IN FRONT OF HER! Autism isn’t this awful, scary thing that’s hurting our lives! My autistic brother is one of the most amazing, kind, intelligent people I know, and I love him for it! Most of the donations toward Autism Speaks go toward research to get rid of autism. But what would we gain from that? More than we’d lose? No! Autistic people don’t need to be erased, like the Plague! They don’t need to be fixed, they aren’t broken! How much are you willing to sacrifice for your sense of closure? Sure, we need to be aware of autism. But I know from firsthand experience that people don’t hate my brother. They don’t deal with him. They support him, and accept him for what he is. He’s special, in the best, most amazing way I can muster up words for.

Anyway, enough word-dumping. Bleh.

The first drawing is one I made a while ago, of a conceptual character called Licorice with two heads, a loooooong snake-like body, and a bipolarity streak. The character lived in a desert of grey, thick, and choking dust and ash, but the dominant, happier head on the left decided to make the most of the situation and be optimistic. The sad head on the right just goes with it. The arrows were just a design thing, and made this character more than just a deformed snake. I wanted to make a series of characters, which I would call Wax Museum.

The second drawing is one I made recently, in an attempt to rekindle my muse for this. In this one, it’s the same character (Well, you could probably tell that...) but with a little more development. I call the happy one Sweet, and the sad(...?) one Grass, fyi. Grass is more than they first appear, and Sweet is innocently speaking over there. (Don’t worry, Sweet has character development too.) They do both use they/them pronouns, as their personalities mix into one big jumble of confusing gender identity (They are the same being. Just bipolar. Each of them has their own thoughts, but they share the same body. Think of it almost as one person talking to themself. But... they can’t tell what the other is thinking or planning.) The stylistic changes include outlines, light shading, pupil slits, and the fact that the arrows are now all the same color. Oh yeah, and eyebrow-type things and Grass’ eye bags.

In short, I’m trying to revive the Wax Museum idea. Maybe after the AU journey is done, maybe before. Either way, expect more weird and unique characters coming your way.

Next stop on the AU fanart is Blind!Frisk, by @ennji-undertale! Gave them my little SOUL-stick, because why not. Also I’m sorry boots, I can’t do you justice... Also gave them a little glowing bandage, because... I thought it would look cool in concept? This one is also transparent, so enjoy that.
