"Maybe I’m just irritated with people always trying to tell me what I should and shouldn’t do."
"Unfortunately, it's just something that's going to be happening for pretty much... well, your whole life. Sorry, Princess."
"What are you doing here? Do you have any idea what time it is?"
"Yeah, I'm sorry, but Jezzie... someone knows. I had to tell someone. The truth. About me."
He nodded,
"Oh..good. Same is better than worse I suppose. Anything worth mentioning happen? Any executions I may have missed."
"Executions? You're a bag of cheerful, Harry. But no, no significant punishments or executions as of late."
Love or Confusion ll Stan and Dory
The air was so thick that you could cut it with a knife, at least that’s what Stan thought after he had told Door about his mixed emotions. The crash of the cream on floor, broke the tension and caused him to jump in his seat. He had known his declaration would be shocking, but he didn’t think it would cause a reaction like that. Actually, he wasn’t really sure what kind of reaction if would cause, but he suddenly felt very unsure of himself and his decision to tell Door the truth. Fidgeting nervously in his chair, Stan tried to control his breathing so Door wouldn’t realize just how nervous he was. “An apology, for what.” Stan asked the man, confused as to what he would need to apologize for.
Dory sighed and ran a hand through her hair as she tried to collect her thoughts. There had to be a way to explain and apologise without coming across as a complete creep or ass.
"An apology for lying. Lots of lying, actually," she said, dropping all of her well-practised mannerisms to pass as male. She contemplated walking to the table and taking the seat opposite of Stan, but immediately changed her mind, instead lifting herself onto the counter. "I am Eliza. Dorothy Elizabeth Mauser."
"Only when I’m on the job, dear!" She goes over to her and takes her hands. "Dance with me."
"Anytime, Jezzie," she laughed.
"He said something similar as well. I’ve got a lot, so it’s nice to know they’re going to children who’ll love them."
"I can't think of anyone who would need them more. Kids like that probably feel so unwanted and uncared about. Gifts from a friendly face will remind them that it's not true."
"Emma. Emma Agnes."
"Well, nice to make your formal acquaintance, Miss Agnes."

"Hey you—standing over there. What can I do for you?"
"'Hey you'? Is that what I'm going by these days?"
"I’ll gladly tell you soon."
"I missed you too..hows…Lile, everyone?”
"Well, I won't pressure you. Just know I'm always here."
"People mostly seem... the same as always. Not wholly good, not terribly bad... just... the same."
Wait,
"What was she like? How was her home life?"
"She's... hm... hard-headed, I guess is the first thing I'd say. Her home life wasn't really any better or worse than others in this town. They were always on the cusp of upper-middle and upper class. The Mauser girl wasn't born to be a lady of high society, but that didn't stop her parents from trying."
"She left when she was 16 -- went to some boarding school not too far from here and then didn't come back after she was sent up."
"Why do you ask? Is she back in town? Is she in trouble or something?"
