ever since i was sexually assaulted 6 years ago ive realized i put up many boundaries with physical touch, especially regarding my friends and family. i do not want them touching me(like even its on the back, or shoulder, or any non-intimate part) unless i say they can. my friends and dad respect them to 100% and i appreciate that a lot since well.. trauma and paranoia of getting assaulted in the same way again

it feels like my mom doesnt really understand, or is moreso dissappointed at these boundaries. if i say ''hey, i dont want you to touch me, i feel uncomfortable'' and always either says something like ''but i let you hug me'' or makes a really odd frustrated sound? i dont know how to explain it, its weird. but i always know theres a negative undertone to these, and it makes me feel really unsafe. obviously i love my mom and all, but it feels like she belittles me a lot with these reactions. also the thing about hugging is literally her opening up her arms, SHE often initiates it.

its very common for her to act frustrated when i put up boundaries in general, not even regarding physical stuff, or me being ''stubborn'' (again, me putting up boundaries or not wanting change, for example; ''hey i want to keep to the things weve done in past years'' (( a conversation i had yesterday- i spoke to her about how i dont want to go anywhere for the end of my schoolyear, since we havent done that like ever)) or anything adjacent of that). i dont know why she acts like this, im very confused and honestly sad because i cant understand what the point of acting frustrated over someone not wanting the things she exclusively wanted. i dont know. excuse any grammatical mistakes in this
