lowkey encourages everyone to send me memes, I swear Iâll get to my drafts soon I just still have some stuff to catch up on
(sms): That sounds like that might have been me, yeah. (sms): Oh. Man. I liked that shoe, too. It was my favourite of the two. (sms): I know I shouldnât favouritise my shoes but â (sms): Someone drew a pineapple on me.Â
(text: unknown) Arenât they identical, though? (text: unknown) Okay. And you have no idea who or why? That seems like a very random thing to draw. (text: unknown) What do you guys do to feel better when youâre hungover?
There was a brief silence, one in which Paige spent trying to decide if the shadowhunter meant to say that in a joking tone or simply couldnât come up with something better on the spot, before she cracked a little grin. Regardless, it was nice to see a friendly face in an unfamiliar area ( âcourse, it helped the stranger was cute ) .
â No, actually. As a matter of fact, itâs my first time being here, and Iâm a little lost. âÂ
So, there were a couple of awkward seconds that were spent quietly staring at each other, and Alicia mentally cursing herself for not thinking of something better. She chose the wrong Lightwood to copy flirting skills from. Then, the other spoke.
âOh, thatâs fine. Iâve been here for a while. What were you looking for? --My nameâs Alicia, by the way.â

Elliott shrugged. âIâll wait until I get home.â He didnât think he was quite hungry enough to not be able to control himself yet, although it always felt like a gamble anyway. He laughed. âUsually she walks me home. To keep me from doing anything stupid while Iâm alone with my own thoughts, she said. She has a lot of trust in me.â
âFair enough.â The vampires must have had blood reserves at home or something, though she didnât go to the Hotel often enough to know. Or at all, if she could avoid it. âOh, really? I sort of want to meet her now,â she answered with a laugh. âIs she another vampire, or... she would be living with you then, wouldnât she?â
Send me âIâve got a bad feeling about this.â for my museâs reaction
(sms): It must have been one hell of a night last night. (sms): I am in current possession of a shirt that isnât mine, I lost a shoe and thereâs a drawing of a pineapple on my chest. (sms): ⌠What did I do?
(text: unknown) I have no idea, but you somehow managed to end up with the wrong number, too. (text: unknown) Wait! Are you the guy who asked for my number yesterday and I was actually amused enough to give it? Because youâd already lost your shoe by then. I donât remember the pineapple though.

â--Do you come here often?â Shit. She was spending too much time with Alec. It seemed that when flustered, her flirting skills dropped below zero.

âI could get your stele back, but donât you think your parents would notice? And then you would have to explain how you have it, and weâd both get in trouble, and they would take it again. So just be patient, okay?â He opened her backpack and pulled out a comic book to placate the boy instead. âHave you read any of Young Avengers? Itâs pretty awesome.â
Elliott was relieved when she didnât ask anymore questions about Derek, but he didnât like her thinking Raphael wasnât a good person. Unfortunately, it was difficult to explain just how Raphael was a good person, it was the kind of thing you had to see for yourself. Therefore he was also relieved when she let that go, too. âI was out with my girlfriend but sheâs gone home now. And thenâŚyou knowâŚI was hungry.â
âYeah, sorry about the whole... interrupting your dinner thing.â She wondered if the polite thing would be to offer her blood, but she knew that would be a terrible idea for both of them, so she would risk being impolite instead. âDonât gentlemen like you take their girlfriends home? --I havenât been on a date with a guy in a while, so I wouldnât know I suppose.â
Clint raises a brow at the young woman, eyeing the pizza box with the hints of a grin on his lips. âYeah, thatâs what I ordered.â He hands over the money and lifts the boxâs lid. âI might be mistaken but I donât think I usually order my pizza shaken or stirred.â He wasnât upset, he would eat it one way or another and Lucky wouldnât complain so long as it tasted like pizza .Â
âOh, no. That is an extra feature for our most loyal customers. You donât even have to pay for it, we just... do it. With the pizza. Yeah.â They both knew she was full of shit, but the man seemed to have a sense of humour, so she tried anyway. âIâm terribly sorry. I promise itâs still delicious. Youâre totally justified in not giving me a tip.â
Blue eyes drifted to look at the claimed downworlderâs face, watching her closely. âAlright, how long have you suspected this wasnât for me?â He turned, now facing her. Alicia didnât look to be stupid, and if someone like Clary Fairchild would have been able to tell that he was gay, then she must have to. âLydia wants to run an institute, and I want my family name to be held up in the respect it deserves. Unless you know a better idea Iâm going to have to go through with it, despite how willing I am to do a glamour rune with you.â
Alicia shrugged. âI always knew it wasnât for you. You proposed to Lydia after only knowing her for a coupel of days, I sort of guessed it wasnât because you were madly in love with her.â She didnât confirm she understood what the boy meant, but she reached out to take his hand and squeeze it. âAnd youâre sure marrying Lydia is the best way for that? I mean... I donât know. Sure, sheâs nice, but is she really that big of a deal?â She didnât want to say that the Lightwood name was too ruined to be fixed so easily, after both parents being in the Circle.Â
I miss you mom.
Iâm so sad tonight
âWere you trying to get me to notice?â Thick brows came together with a confused sound. He didnât like to imagine that he was oblivious, but that seemed to be the case. âNo, it doesnât bother me.â He almost laughed at that. Not much bothered or offended Alec, and honestly anything Alicia did was her business. Especially if it meant dating another shadowhunter woman. âDo you think Lydia could like females too?â
âI was trying to get everyone to notice. Though, your parents already knew.â She has shouted at them enough about Rachel, then she just... went quiet. She would not bring it up in front of their children. Alicia glanced at Alec at the question. âBy the Angel, I hope so. But itâs hard to tell. I mean, even if I have my own suspicions... itâs everyoneâs own business, you know? You canât really guess until they tell you.â
