Something I have always found interesting is early video game development, specifically PC, where the “Developing staff” was like 2 hippes and 3 nerds strung out on drugs/pizza/sleep deprivation, what have you, creating a passion project, wherein only their personal art, voice acting and code gets put in.
Like you simply dont hear about people sequestering themselves away in their apartment for 3 days and coming out with a 3000 page series bible or something like that anymore.
Bring back my hippies and nerds bucking the system with their zany videogame ideas.

Day 9-Mennon
Penthesilea among other Trojans, by Jose Daniel Cabrera Peña in "Heroes of the Trojan War"
I don't care what the writers and readers of retellings say, I will always love Perseus and defend the fact that he IS and WAS one of the first chivalrous heroes before that term even existed.
Time to remember that Medusa, in the original myth, was not a priest nor was she raped by Poseidon and punished by Athena. No, Medusa was the daughter of two sea monsters, Phorcys and Cetus, she was born with a monstrous appearance and was the cause of the death of several people by turning them into stone with her gaze.
The version that became popular, that she was a priestess punished by Athena, is a very late Roman version made by Ovid, who, by the way, is not a very reliable source and hated certain gods such as Athena/Minerva and Poseidon/Neptune.
Perseus is not a monster who murdered a victim and an abuser who forced Andromeda to marry him; No, Perseus is one of the few Greek heroes who are decent, he did not go for Medusa's head for glory or recognition, do you know why it was? Because Polydectes, who did look like an abuser, harassed Perseus's mother and Perseus wanted to protect his mother and Perseus's romance with Andromeda is one of the few where they both love each other and there is no infidelity and yet in most retellings they make Perseus a complete idiot
Perseus haters try to read the original myths, challenge impossible
Just to be clear, no hate towards ppl who like the Ovid retelling, its completely okay to like Medusa with a tragic story (remember that Medusa was born a monster in the og greek myth tho!) , but it becomes a huge problem when you start to see it as the original myth and demonize Perseus who just wanted to save his mother Danaë from a literal assaulter.
Perseus and Andromeda DTIYS!!!
I love this couple (as many of you know since I don’t shut up about them lol) so I decided to make a dtiys to encourage more ppl to learn about and draw them!
Rules:
✨Draw this in your style, either use my designs or your own or a mix! It’s up to you!
✨ NO AI 🚫 I will obliterate you.
✨ Post the drawing + my drawing on the second slide.
✨ Put the tag #PersomedaDTIYS and tag me as well.
✨ Deadlines? Umm… no deadline have fun!
So many of these greek myths retellings / adaptations miss the ball so hard mostly because they're trying to be progressive and somehow end being more misogynistic, but not only that they also just waste tons and tons of potential for comedy gold content, like Poseidon's wingman was a dolphin, A DOLPHIN that he then made a constellation.
Demeter tried to cook a kid to turn him into a god and seemed legit confused when the mother of the kid started panicking about her baby being literally cooked medium rare. She momentarily left her depression about Persephone and started wheezing and laughing because some maid showed her her pussy- for realsies.
Hera has an electrocution kink.
Pegasus would hate Perseus for killing his mommy, come on that's an amazing joke waiting to be written. Angry petty talking flying horse having a vendetta against random Greek hero #1.
Whatever was going on with Pelops' life lmfao
