Some people are forgetting how smart the twins are. I mean, they speak multiple languages, successfully infiltrated a major dragon hunting operation, threw Viggo/Krogan/Johan off their game multiple times, and can start spewing random but accurate knowledge at the drop of a hat. They know they’re smart, but they don’t show it because they know if Hiccup sees them as smart and not just ridiculous, he’ll trust them with more responsibilities, which they don’t want.

They’re playing everyone in this damn series and I’m so proud of them.

Being asexual and racist is embarassing as fuck. Being racist at all is obviously embarassing as fuck but the amount of racism and especially antiblackness i have been seeing from asexuals recently is obscene.

One of the only asexual activists is Yasmin Benoit, a Black woman. She has raised so much awareness for the community. She was the first asexual person to lead Pride in London, she started the #thisiswhatasexuallookslike movement and is THE leading voice for the community.

And you all will celebrate international asexuality day on April 6th but we wouldn't even have that if she hadn't cofounded it.

y'know, 3D printing is its own skill separate from 3D modeling. i might sound like a techbro when i say this but it is a machine and being able to operate a machine is in fact a skill.

I have a 3D printer. I can't really just slap a model I made into OrcaSlicer and then print it. Not in the way it's commonly implied, at least- I have to modify each model's infills, its layers, etc. for whatever purpose the object is supposed to serve. Since I've mostly made only semi-functional prints (meant as a decorative piece with at least a mild function) this hasn't greatly affected me, but for those who DO actually make parts that aren't 3D-printed slop it is a necessary thing to consider.

Knowing how different infills affect structural stability and which is best for each part's purpose, knowing how many internal layers is just enough but not so many that it's a waste of filament- it's a lot of consideration, so much so to where it is a skill on its own.
