As much as I like the good omens ending, I do have some grievances.

For one thing, Aziraphale and Crowley knew each other for 6000 years. They yearned for 6000 years. All their character development and relationship development over that timespan was just kind of for nothing, because they didn’t get to be together as themselves.

And, they’re kind of still not together. Asa Fell and Anthony Crowley are not the same people as Aziraphale and Crowley. Anthony Crowley has never created nebulas. Asa Fell has never become an archangel. Anthony and Asa have never stopped the Antichrist from destroying the world, never hid Gabriel from Heaven, never transformed children into lizards to hide them from God, never performed on the West End theater.

I don’t think I’ve ver seen myself in a character as much as I do Crowley. Because he just cares, so so much, about everything. He’s an artist, and a writer, and his imagination is unlimited. He has so many questions about everything and he isn’t scared to ask.

He wants to know why.
