The club was in full swing, music pulsating off the walls as Astrida moved through the dancing couples, grinding up against each other, the smell of blood,  sweat and booze filled the air as she looked around, her eyes setting on her fiance who was off in a corner feeding, the body dangling limply in front of her. “Mind if I join you? I need some entertainment.”

“One second.” Elluin called as he crouched at the current end of the dress, though his voice was a little muffled as he clenched the needle between his lips, trying to get the pinning accomplished on the dress before the end of the day. Lately his work had mostly consisted of hemming and patching, so it was refreshing he was actually making something from scratch. The emerald fabric fell from his fingertips as he stood up and away from the bodice, admiring his work for a moment before going to greet the customer. “Hi there, how can I help you?” Only a couple days since things had changed and already business was flooding with outsiders.

Astrida was in a particularly foul mood, one of the menial human seamstresses at Altair had managed to rip a hole in her favourite dress which she wanted to wear to Voyuer tonight. She needed it fixed straight away, not trusting the useless humans who worked for her mother, she headed for the tailoring shop in town. Stepping inside, she throws the dress down on the counter. “I need this fixed. As soon as possible.”

Isolde had been doing her best to try and keep a brave face. In reality it had only been a few days since she had lost a leader and friend all in one. The Noble Elf knew that she stood a chance in the running for queen and made sure that she was out and about- seen and looking strong by others. The elf couldn’t help but find herself repulsed by the supernaturals that she was forced to be around. Lost in her thoughts she huffed as someone got in her way “No no, by all means…Waste my time.” she said simply, as she tried to step around them. “You should be paying more attention.” she added, yet there was a touch of emotion to her words. Isolde felt that in many ways if the elves had paid more attention to hunter activity, then their queen just might have been spared.

The events had transpired as of late had left Astrida feeling on edge, a feeling she was not used to. She always needed to appear strong and unaffected in the presence of others if she ever hoped to live up to the legendary Charbboneau name. On an extended break from Altair, she had left to get herself a coffee when she found herself face to face with an elf with a particularly annoyed look on her face. “You are in my way, it is not my fault that you cannot walk in a straight line.” She huffed as she clutched her blood laced skinny latte. The elves were unknown to her, she didn’t know much about them except what she had heard from Estelle.

Theo had been completely indulging in the revelries of the moon, it was always her most favorite time and she felt like it was the best way to fully rid herself of any stresses and built up lust. The red head threw a human to the side, having bitten them all over that they might as well have been a pin cushion “You better come here, don’t make me have to catch you…” she husked aggressively, spraying blood in the direction of her fiancee, her eyes a deep crimson and her gaze completely fixed to the Charbonneau.

After her grand entrance, feeling completely empowered by the power of the moon which was now high in the sky above them. Astrida had changed into something more practical to move in, a black dress which hugged her curves nicely in all the right places. Garter stockings and black heels completed her look with her long blonde hair hanging loosely around her shoulders. She was feeding on a human male whom was attempting to please her and had failed which had resulted in the humans demise. Hearing Theo call out to her, she tosses the body to the side, stauntering over to the red head getting covered in the spray of blood. "Not if I come willingly.." she husked, her body high on a wave of ecstasy fuelled lust.

Out of all his dalliances, this one was certainly the last one Echo had expected to fall into. He wasn’t known for being pure or immodest though and while he was quite sure the vampire princess didn’t think of him as someone important she was fun to be around and a hoot in bed. So who was he to complain? Besides, having these kinds of connections without any real strings attached made life more engaging and less dull in between doing the work he loved so much. Her stunning looks never ceased to amaze him. When she playfully pushed at him, he simply planted his feet, chuckling a little in her ear. “Maybe so.” he replied, trailing kisses down her neck. 

Astrida turned around, catching the kisses on her lips as she wrapped her arms around him. “Mmmm did you bring me anything?” She asked hopeful. She always expected expensive and extravagant presents from her lovers and Echo was no different.

“I haven’t seen anyone else yet. I am trying to find everyone.” Dom had no idea where the rest of the family was. Which left them with an uneasy feeling. “I’m alright, I was by the bar when everything happened.” They reassured their sister, hoping to give her a big of relief. “Hopefully this whole problem ends soon. These hunters are getting a little too brave for my liking.”

Astrida nodded in agreement, her unease dissipating a little with her sister’s presence. “Indeed, I am sure Mother will have a solution to deal with this. I am sure we have not seen the end of it.”

Astrida laughed as the other moved on top of her pinning her down. Theo was one of the few people whom she willingly submitted to. “Of course.. I would never dare to think of anything else.” She answered huskily. 

Theo only grinned as she kept the other held down “Mm, so put in your place aren’t you, little Charbonneau?” she teased and then adjusted herself on top of the blonde. Theo couldn’t help the thrill of her ego boost she got from being able to control the other princess in such a way. “Now, since you’re being good….I wonder if you have earned my mercy?”

"Mmm only for you." She murmured as the red head continued to pin her down against the lounge she was laying on. Astrida was keen to play this game to stroke the others ego. "Only if it pleases you.."

Astrida moved slowly into the room, approaching the Queen slowly, yet she displease her, her reputation preceded her and she did not want to upset or disappoint her. “Stories of your glory, of how powerful you are Your Grace.” She answered as she curtseyed before her.

Kanopia arched an eyebrow and stepped closer, allowing the second born Charbonneau to greet her. The queen figured she should have likely had their names written on her palm. “Hm, all a great set of stories” she mused, gesturing for the other to stand once she was satisfied with her curtsying. “You may stand..”

Astrida rose, smoothing herself down as she faced the warrior queen, completely in awe of the power radiating off the other. She remained silent waiting for the queen to speak again, watching her mother Estelle out of the corner of her eye.

Shaking her head while lookinf around, she tightened her hold on her sister’s hand “I don’t know yet who it was, but they’ll be dead by the end of the night” She huffed, looking back at her “Have you seen Dom? I couldn’t find them over all this mess” She asked, moving with the blonde. Staying put wasn’t safe so she motioned for the guards to follow them “We need to be level headed, Astrida”

Astrida shook her head as she moved with her sister, the guards following closely behind them as crowds parted for the two sisters. “No I haven’t seen them, I thought they might be with you. I couldn’t find anyone.”

To the outside world Ele was taking the events of the gala all in stride. She was cool, collected, confident they would get their revenge and more. Inside, she was shaken and wrecked with worry for her family. They never should have been attacked on their own hallowed ground and ended up with one of their own dead. It showed cracks in their protection that she had not ever wanted to see. Ele had been spending more time at Lux recently, burying herself in the food to try and ignore this sense of worry. But, she had returned to the family compound for the night and was surprised to find it so empty. After the gala it had been a whirl of activity as they regrouped and started coming up with a plan for hunting down this rabid dog of a hunter. Dom wasn’t even around and Ele certainly could use their calming presence. As she was headed back to her room, she heard her name and turned. Astrida. Ele’s relationship might have been hard at best given the unfortunate circumstances of her birth, but even her worry extended to her sister after the gala. “Astrida. It seems like we are the only two here.” Only her family, and those she deemed close enough to her, could call her Ele and right now it was a comfort to hear such a familiar term. 

Astrida stopped in front of the entrance to the others room. Hers and Eleanor’s relationship had been strained over the years, the circumstances how Eleanor joined the Charbonneaus but she was family and naturally Astrida was concerned about her families' well-being. “It seems so. I thought Dom was here but I passed their room and they were not in there.” She mused out loud thoughtfully. “You are not hurt are you?” She asked, looking her over as she moves into her room.

Kanopia had perched herself on a chair, taking in the curious feeling of Los Angeles. It was a different world compared to New York and it was one that she could have taken for herself yet there was a strange pleasure in being able to observe the Charbonneau and connect up the power.  “And what stories would those be?” She hummed, sitting forward and eyeing the girl carefully, her eyes changing to a melted gold.

Anyone who knew Dom could tell that they were pissed. Pissed at the hunters had the audacity to show up and make a mess of another event. Even more pissed that they managed to get away before Dom could get to them. Those who didn’t know them would assume they were calm. Seeing their sister rush up, they tried their best to calm down. “Astrida, are you alright?” As angry as they were, Dom was more worried about their sisters. Their families wellbeing was more important than anything.

“I’m fine, I was elsewhere when it happened.” She answered vaguely, decidiing that her sister did not need to know what she was up to prior to the attack. “Have you seen everyone else? You’re not hurt or anything?” She asked them, not seeing any obvious sign of injury on them. She could tell that they were pissed, it took a lot to piss them off and this attack had been it. “They will pay with their heads. Mother will make sure of it.”

As soon as she heard the voice of her sister Morana was running up to her, shoving aside whpever stood in her way. Her eyes scanned her quickly in case of any injury and heaved a breath of relief once she saw the younger one was completely safe “Yes, yes I’m okay. I wasn’t here when it happened” She gulped down, taking her sister’s hand in her as a way to keep her close “A hunter dared to kill a vampire here, our moms knew about them but I think they didn’t thought they would do something” She seethed through her teeth, anger evident in her tone.

Astrida looked around the room, the security of the event more obvious as she took her sisters hand, feeling relieved by her older sisters presence and the fact that she was unharmed. “Who would dare to do such a thing? They are asking for it now, Mother won’t let this rest. She will want their heads on a platter.” She spat angrily.

​Just the sight of her ignited something inside him. Something he couldn’t easily ignore or pretend wasn’t there. Sliding up behind her, leaning in and speaking into the entrance of her ear, Echo’s hands rested feather light on her hips. “How are you princess? I’ve missed you.” His tone playful and a little husky. Who would have thought he’d get involved with a Charbonneau? Luckily, Astrida was her own woman in many a sense. The first time they had met, he’d been curious, interested as the shoot went on, but well aware that she was not. The second time though, catching her attention had been easier, a certain chemistry undeniable between them. Purposefully standing so close she would feel his bulge pressing against her backside. “Did you miss me?” he teasingly asked.

The dragon was a passing fling, nothing more, someone she would see if she needed to be satisfied quickly. Being with him had its benefits of course like all good business arrangement, like all of her relationships were. It was nothing permanent and they both understood that and enjoyed it. She could admit he was handsome, for a non vampire and being a director didn’t hurt much either. Her heart belonged to another though she would never admit that to anyone, not to break her firm exterior. Her mother always said never show your true emotions. “Noo.” She answers playfully as she pretends to push him away. “I think you missed me more.”

She was exhausted, the attack at the gala had taken its toll on Astrida though to those outside her family, she was the perfect daughter, poised, not letting her true emotions show to anyone. Entering the manor, she throws her bag to the side, her PA rushing to pick it up as she walked toward her room. The manor was eerily empty, both of her mothers probably busy planning their counter strike to the attack. As she walked along she caught a glance of her younger sisters brunette hair. “Ele!” She calls out, striding after her.
