I'm trying to get into more horror comics, so if you have any recommendations, tell me!!!

just how toxic was majorscythe?

well, here's how things went in (mostly) chronological order:

- scott (& owen) lured pyro out into the woods w/ false sense of security

- scott then violently turned pyro, making them his first fledgling in 600 years

- pyro has no one else to turn to so becomes dependent on scott

- scott switches between punishment and reward, dangling positive attention and affirmations in front of them while instilling the fear of death into them

- scott manipulates pyro into believing he's a monster who's too far gone to turn back by repeatedly reminding pyro of how much he's 'given into the blood lust'

- pyro tries to establish connections with town

- scott ingrains paranoia into pyro by stalking them

- scott cuts off pyro's communication with town by scaring him into submission

- now pyro's completely isolated and tied to scott on an even shorter leash

- scott gaslights pyro into believing his turning and how violent it was, was his own fault

- despite scott having pyro wrapped around his finger, he doesn't even like pyro or know them that well

- positive attention was rare and now becomes rarer

- scott at this point has fully brought out the worst in pyro and has been using him like a tool/weapon

- scott takes a liking to avid and treats him with the care and kindness pyro so desperately craves

- pyro becomes jealous of avid and how scott treats him

- pyro lashes out at scott by killing avid

- scott wants to kill pyro for disloyality and for killing his boy toy and feels justified in doing so

- pyro starts calling scott 'goldsmith' instead of 'sire' in attempt to even the power struggle and distance himself from scott

- Shelby kills pyro and scott doesn't give a fuck

- Pyro, in a way, died for scott and scott was glad to see him gone

so yea i think it was radioactive, like fully just a glowing green blob

listening to an album you used to love but overplayed for yourself after a really long time after the overplayedness has worn off and it sounds like it's supposed to again is the closest to being in heaven you can get during your mortal life i think

au where its already the future and while flying through new york Scott sees some big guys bullying and kicking someone already laying on the ground and covering in fear and for some reason he wants to intervene

proving Legs he can be better and all that

he scares the bullies away and he helps the guy up

but they look a bit too much like Pyro

When Scott asks his name, just to make sure that he is not back, he gets an answer.

The young man, the barely not a boy anymore, calls himself Jack.

He smiles at Scott like a rabbit trying to convince a wolf that it was dead.

Something in his eyes demanding not to be hurt.

Just like Pyro's, all those years ago at the lake.

Scott brushes it off. It was one guy, there were so many people in the city, Scott won't ever see him again. He did good Legs, isn't that enough?

And then Scott starts seeing him everywhere.

Jack has a habit of being bullied, it seems.

Scott does his best to help when he sees it, some part of him recognizing the look in Pyro's Jack's eyes.

He ends up talking to Jack more. Learning about their life, what they study, what they like.

And then Scott watches him wither.

Jack grows jumpy and distant. Flinching at shadows, he mumbles to himself and cries for minutes on end when Scott saves him again and again and again.

Scott does his best to get to know Jack, some part of him wanting to see it as redeeming himself for Pyro's everything.

Then Jack admits that he doesn't think he can take it anymore. That he's going to snap. He's going to kill someone.

Scott meets his eyes, and cannot force himself to see anyone other than Pyro.

He doesn't know what to do with that information. So when Pyro ends up on the news for murder, when Pyro is marked for death, Scott settles himself in the belief that it was proof that Pyro could never change. Not like he could.

A decade later he saves someone from being bullied.

He looks a lot like Pyro.
