I see it all the time: #writing tips and then the most inane nonsense I've ever read in my life

"No one will read your book without the right kind of punctuation."

"Always show and never tell, or always tell and never show; but don't do both!"

"Your characters need more trauma."

And then all you BIG DUMMIES give them a million notes as though these people even know what a good writing tip is.

This. This is a good writing tip.

Look at it.

Absorb it.
