Well I'm excited.
Beck - I won't be Long
Instrumental synth fans out there? Put on your 80's-action-movie-credits ears on.
Chrome Canyon - Legends
Blue Hawaii - Try to Be
Untogether
This music was actually written by ghosts. So eerie. I wish I hadn't discovered it so early in the morning. Anyway, I hope you all enjoy this one. I'll be for sure getting this album.
Linda Perhacs - Parallelograms (1970)
So this Jan Hammer guy..
Jan Hammer - Dont You Know (Extended)
Fuck DJ's man this is the only 80's night you'll see me going to.
Kebu - Crockett's Theme (Jan Hammer cover)
Finland is a hell of a drug.
For those of you have to work or something this Sunday, here's what black metal on a hammered dulcimer sounds like.
Botanist - Sanguinaria "I: The Suicide Tree/II: A Rose From the Dead" (2011)
The songs of Botanist are told from the perspective of The Botanist, a crazed man of science who lives in self-imposed exile, as far away from Humanity and its crimes against Nature as possible. In his sanctuary of fantasy and wonder, which he calls the Verdant Realm, he surrounds himself with plants and flowers, finding solace in the company of the Natural world, and envisioning the destruction of man. There, seated upon his throne of Veltheimia, The Botanist awaits the time of humanity's self-eradication, which will allow plants to make the Earth green once again.
Happy Sunday everyone.
Strawberry Switchblade - Dance (1982)
Here's a video of my band Odanah playing one of our songs "Little Box in the Sky".
Also featuring my living room.
My favorite Jason Molina tune.
Dat bass. I'm not sure if I've already posted this or not but I don't care. This is so good.
Bassplayers, go buy a pick.
Don't Go Sleep - Susumu Yokota
Susumu Yokota is a Japanese electronic composer who's the man behind this brilliant experimental ambient music. I'd listen to this with headphones if I were you.
The Luyas have a new album called Animator! I totally missed this back in October when it came out. You can hear the whole thing here on soundcloud.
New Tomahawk album out today! So far I'm pretty undecided about this.. but I can definitely say I'm enjoying the album art.
I think we could all use a little more music like this these days.
Alabama Shakes - Be Mine
This is the definition of haunting.
Heathered Pearls - "Beach Shelter"
All I can really say about this one is "goosebumps". And not the R.L. Stein variety. You'll see.
