Hi! I saw your recent Elphie drawing for your medieval AU and I really liked it. I'd like to know more about it whenever you feel like/have the time for it. Have an excellent timezone!

Hello!! I'm glad you liked it, since the AU is kind of a merge of my interests :D

It came from a fic I'm writing, Mirror of Knights on ao3. Elphaba doesn't dress like that in the fic (yet) because she's an errant knight escaping from her father's scorn, having to hide herself from unwanted attention with thick armor and a helmet (her squire Chistery helps her with it!). Eventually, she finds a home in the county of Frottica, held by lady Galinda Arduenna, who seems fascinated by her. I have to warn that the first chapter may be misleading, since some people think I'm going for the Mulan route, when in reality the identity stuff gets solved pretty quickly. My bad.

Contextually, I'll just say that there are 2 main duchies in the Kingdom of Oz: Gillikin and Munchkinland. The first one is held by Lady Morrible under the title of Duchess of Shiz and the latter is held by Frexspar, with Nessarose as his heir. Morrible is Galinda's liege, but she is also the King-Wizard's counselor, aiding with many troubles such as the Warring Quadling Petty Kingdoms in the southern border, Faith management (Unionism and Lurlinism coexist inside the Kingdom) or state relations with the Vinkan Confederacy in the west.

I don't want to spoil but I'm walking towards the political intrigue path (as you'd imagine with the contextual clues). Sometimes I feel like I focus too much on the plot rather than the gelphieism of it all, but I can't help it.
