          hey yall!

          to make a very long story short, i think it’s pretty safe to say that i’m going to need to put both of my blogs ( here and @veksler ) on hiatus. for how long, i’m not sure. as for its permanency, i’m… also not sure. there’s been a lot going on.

          i got my new job back in december, and it’s been taking over most of my time during the week along with the 2 classes i’m taking, which just doesn’t leave a lot of room for sitting down and rping lmao. i’m on my laptop maybe 2hrs a week at this point, and most of that is because i’m doing homework.

          i also met the love of my life in december, and we’ve been spending pretty much all of our free time and weekends together and with our friends. he’s so incredibly good to and for me, and i want to be able to focus on the beautiful relationship we’re building. i’ve never met anyone as kind, or as loving, or as perfect for me as him. i’ve literally never been happier. ❤

          so yeah, i’m going to be taking a pretty big step away from rp altogether for now. rp and tumblr have both been very good to me ( for the most part lmfao ), and i’ve met some pretty amazing people here, but i need a break.

          i’ve had daryl’s blog since 2014. in november, it’ll be 5 years since i started here, and i just wanted to say thank you to everyone– all 3,000 of you. this definitely isn’t goodbye, just?? i’ll see yall later.

          tl;dr: both of my blogs are on hiatus. i don’t know how long i’ll be gone, and i don’t know how permanent this is. i’m okay, i’m happy, and if you want to keep in contact with me please feel free to message me here! if we’re mutuals i’ll add you on discord.

small update:

          things are going much better for me as of late. i got through the really tough part of everything i was going through, and now things are much better. i’m still stressed about school and work, but there’s definitely not as much for me to take care of so i’m able to relax a little bit.

          i also got back on T injections after about two and a half months of not having them, so that’s been amazing for my mental health, which has been pretty rocky lately. my therapist is also working on diagnosing me with p/tsd, so that’s... fun lmao, i’ve just been pretty exhausted all around.

          i’m typing this as i sit on break at work; i just wanted to let everyone know that i’m slowly working through my irl situation. updates ( and some venting ) for those interested under the cut ( sorry mobile users! ).

          for starters, i’m overloaded with things at work. we’re a very small staff going through very big changes, so it hasn’t been easy to try and catch up. i’m also having to work my normal hours and extra hours on top of everything ( it’s a long story lmfao ).

          i still have a lot of homework to do now that i’m officially on spring break from class, and i need to use most of my free time to get it done ( which includes going to campus and taking a test in the testing center, ugh ). i can’t afford to let my grades slip, and of course homework comes before being here does.

          this is all made much more complicated by my living situation ( ugh ) and the fact that i’m extremely low on cash due to very large unforeseen expenses. i have about $40.00 to last me until the 15th of the month, so i’m really trying my best to control and portion all of my food at home and the gas in my car. my boyfriend also comes over on the weekends so we can spend some much-needed time together, which means my attention is pretty centered on him.

          basically i have no time or money for anything lmao. i’m really trying to set aside time to be here, but it’s hard and this is only a hobby in the midst of so many irl obligations. i’m definitely coming back, these past couple of weeks have just been very hard for me.

          long story short, i had a large unexpected expense come up and it really took a toll on my bank account. i’m pulling some extra time at work to try and make up for it, but working at a nonprofit organization means there’s only so much i can do outside of my normal hours. i’m trying my hardest to be able to make rent and bills at the beginning of march.

          on top of that, my abusive ex came into my office to ask about “volunteer opportunities” with the organization i work for yesterday, and just seeing her sent me into a huge panic attack. she wants to act like she didn’t come there just to see me / get a reaction out of me, she wants to pretend like she just wants to volunteer, but literally no one believes that. she wanted to fuck with me, and she got what she wanted. i was sitting there with my coworker ( who works with abuse survivors, coincidentally ) sobbing in my office and even though it happened yesterday, today i’m still feeling woozy and just. not okay because of it.

          so yeah i’m just?? feeling really off lately. i worked and have class all night today, and then i work early tomorrow, so i’m not even going to try and force myself to be here. please feel free to approach me for my discord if we’re mutuals, but i might not even be there tbh. i just need time to not do anything.
