Marie Antoinette deserved better in the "Rose of Versailles" movie. I know most people prefer Oscar but to show Marie's last years with some black/white pictures is so disappointing. She is the first Rose of Versailles. She is the main character of the manga before Oscar became a second main character.

The end with Oscar is a sucker punch but why doesn't deserve Marie Antoinette to end this movie when even the manga finishs with her destiny?

#TRUTH.#i get they had to cram a whole lot into just 2 hours but that was so disappointing #i love oscar dearly but the other characters deserved just as much depth & screentime #it just felt like oscar was the main focus while marie was a side character #WHICH WAS SO FRUSTRATINGG #i still enjoyed the film a lot but marie AND ROSALIE deserved better #justice for my girls #rose of versailles

On an order to calm the citizens, Oscar must take two companies of the guards into action.

The citizens of Paris, who were in conflict with the king and the nobles, took up arms. It was July 1789, the year the storm of the revolution would begin.

On the night before the march, Oscar quietly invited Andre into her room.

"I have neither status nor fortune that can make you happy… nothing…" Andre lamented.

"I am glad… I noticed your gentle gaze…" Oscar said as she leaned her warm cheek against him. It was a beautiful sight , Oscar who had cast aside her aristocratic status. As the two of them embraced each other tightly, the flames of love burned fiercely.
