About the Murder Drones Doll Analysis/Tribute/Critique:
To the people who have cared about this project, this is very important, but if you have no of what this is, just keep on scrolling, nothing important.

It's kind of weird how time passes, isn't it?
And it's extremely weird for me, because, there truly hasn't been anything going on in these last six months of my life to justify me being so lazy, so slow, so... tired.
What I'm trying to say is: I'm cancelling the project that I've promised some of you time and time again. That massive video on Doll from Murder Drones that was going to be a love letter to the character.
I know that this may be a tough pill to swallow for those who were actually extremely excited, but I have to be honest with all of you and myself: I don't have the same desire to bring this project to life the way I once did.
I'm burned out, my passion for Murder Drones is gone, and I just don't have enough willpower to make much progress.
I've been starting to feel this way for a while now. I've never actually shared my thoughts on Murder Drones as a show here on this site because I don't like being the critical negative guy, but ever since episode 7, my opinion of the show has slowly been decreasing, and my relationship with it hasn't been very healthy for me.
I still really like parts of it, but now its negative attributes overwhelm its positives, and keeping my head inside the fandom has left me feeling miserable.
The reason why I was so adamant about that Doll project, was because I was incredibly sure that I could make something special, something that could change the way the general public thinks of Doll, because I really think I have meaningful stuff to share about her that no one has ever talked about before, a thought that has been tormenting me for a while was: "If I don't make this video, who else will? Who else cares about the character enough to take on this task? And who even has arrived at the same conclusions that you did, Velvet?"
These thoughts have been keeping me up at night for more than a year, but recently, it hasn't been the case anymore, and it's due to a couple of things.
One: I've been thinking, nonstop, about Murder Drones, every single day of my life, for more than a year, while simultaneously having a negative opinion of the series. Could you imagine that level of obsession for something that you don't even like anymore? For something that you are starting to hate, but can't stop thinking about? While working on an idea, based on said piece of media, that forces you to engage with it for prolonged periods, thus making you miserable? Eventually, you just burn yourself out due to repetition, and you can't keep going anymore.
Two: Deltarune chapter 3 and 4 have been announced, and despite what the memes might say, Hollow Knight Silksong is also coming out this summer, two projects that I care a lot about, a massive LOT actually, and combined that with the release of Indie Cross episode 2, and said being absolute cinema, I have realised that the grass is greener on the other side.
For the first time in a while, I have something to look out for, something that I'm incredibly passionate about, and I just don't want to spend anymore time on something that instead makes me feel unhappy when the future is so bright.
I'll still release my thoughts into the wild, probably under post form, and maybe I'll pick up the idea in the future, at 5-7 years from now on.
For now, I wish the community a happy continuation, but I'll be mostly tuning out for the foreseeable future. Thanks for giving me your attention, hope you have a great time, and to all of you Doll fans, stay strong. You have to.
I was thinking about those AU’s where Doll is brought back somehow.
I have my own. She’s Frankenstiened back together. Her solver abilities heal at least some of her injuries but of course she needs a little help. From what we see on screen she likely dosen’t have strong regeneration abilities like Uzi.
She’s clearly long term effected by having been torn open and shot through the skull. She’s unsteady on her feet now, dizzy, and dosen’t feel so well a lot. She tends to stare off into space for long periods of time holding completely still.
She has a lot of stomach problems, who wouldn’t after that. There are things she can’t have anymore because they will give her the ultimate belly ache or she will throw up. She can’t gulp down oil like she used to or it will upset her stomach and upchuck it all back up. She has to sip at it wich drives her NUTS. She’s used to gulping down a whole drones worth of oil in one sitting but now she can hardly finish a little canister.
She’s just about always exhausted and sleeps quite a bit.
She uses a cane now, leaning on it trying to look cool (she dosen’t have to try very hard). She says it makes her feel like an old woman though. She’s glad to have it however, very handy for beating V’s head in. And yes she does beat the robo shit out of V with the cane if those two are left out of sight for even a second. It’s so much more satisfying beating V with a stick than using her solver.
Despite her injuries and new disabilities she still tries to kill V on the regular.
It was a bit of a shock but she become close with N as friends. N made it a point to visit her and help her with what she needed quite a bit. He was always there to lend her a hand and she really did appreciate that. At some point she opened up to N and they talked for a while. She confided her fears and stress in him and he responded with support and understanding, something that made her break down crying. He never tried to stop her from crying but encouraged her to cry it out. And that she did, for 2 hours. Things still stung of course but it felt good to get it out.
She realized she misjudged N when she first saw him with Uzi. She did apologize for that.
Both N and Thad were major points of support and help for her, always there to make sure things are going well. Their names are signed on her cane
Wouldn't she know that Cyn/absolute solver is the true cause of her parents deaths? Also, I can smell the inevitable training arc with a side of disassembly drone Doll, because if you think she's going to let a few malfunctions from having died stop her avenging her parents even if she has to kill Uzi to do it, you clearly don't understand doll's character.

Things have been proceeding slowly, I think I finally have a good grasp on how to edit and everything is coming together one step at a time.
Unfortunately, I can't say that my project is close to completion, on the contrary, but I'm still putting some effort in it every single day. Once, I was hopeful to complete it before the end of the summer, but with Deltarune chapter 3 and 4 on the horizon, and more importantly Hollow Knight Silksong that could release this year if Team Cherry stops with the delay memes, I think my mind will be busy on other stuff (More specifically, Silksong is going to take 60 hours to complete).
A more realistic deadline for me to meet is at the end of 2025; nobody is pushing (except me) to see my project completed, so I'm taking it slow.
Anyway, on a brighter note, I've had a brilliant idea for the thumbnail of the video, and I ask all of you Murder Drones fans for some help:
I decided to copy the Across The Spiderverse logo and make it about Doll, using different AU versions of Doll to replace the Spider people. However, I didn't ask almost any of the creators of these characters if I could actually use them, so I'd like to do that now; here's a rough sketch of my idea that I drew on a piece of paper, (I have a friend who is an artist, and they agreed to draw it for me) along with the locations of all the AU Dolls.
If you don't want your idea to be a part of my project, then all you have to do is tell me, and I'll delete it immediately from the drawing.

No offense to Definitely Bored Oranges, I liked his other stuff, but this video is just not it, he misses various plot points and misinterprets some character details.
idk why but i want to see someone like powerplex in murder drones.
if they ever do a season 2 that is and before u say what about doll? doll.....didnt really last long, they had like 1 fight scene and some other small scenes before getting murked by cyn.
i want a worker drone who was like a family member to 1 of the drones uzi killed, i think it would be interesting to see.
(like for real tho uzi murdered half her class and ur telling me nobody was mad? i know at least 1 of the people uzi got murdered had to have a family member find out about it and have a grudge on uzi at least once.)
