At this point if they actually wanted to make a unique retelling of Dracula, they should have Quincey as the main character, market it as a tragic Western/British romance, and then halfway through drop us into the plot of Dracula

say what you want about homestuck but you gotta admit: absolute fire soundtrack for a webcomic, a media type that by all definition has no reason to have a soundtrack in the first place.

Oh what's that? You only read books with lots of "spice" in them? Well then I've got a great one for you, practically the whole plot revolves around "spice". Ahem. In the week before their departure to Arrakis,

There are only two kinds of institutions for [the economists], artificial and natural. The institutions of feudalism are artificial institutions, those of the bourgeoisie are natural institutions. In this, they resemble the theologians, who likewise establish two kinds of religion. Every religion which is not theirs is an invention of men, while their own is an emanation from God. When the economists say that present-day relations – the relations of bourgeois production – are natural, they imply that these are the relations in which wealth is created and productive forces developed in conformity with the laws of nature. These relations therefore are themselves natural laws independent of the influence of time. They are eternal laws which must always govern society. Thus, there has been history, but there is no longer any.

Meeting genuine adults that think legal = good, illegal = bad is so bizarre, like bro not even the law itself agrees that that is a good ethical framework
