My Tumblr is now taking a swipe as a tap on adverts.
It used to be user friendly about this.
I guess this is how to produce a spike in hits.
Capitalism’s manipulation of the psyche effin’ sucks, dude.
"we're all faggots in the eyes of the state!" "we all have it just as bad!"

like. come on now
trans mennnn pspspsps understand your relative privilege over your transfem sisters and use it to support and uplift us instead of pretending not to have the structural leverage necessary to harm us. ooooo you know you want to build queer solidarity
one of the interesting features of this post is that there are sentences it doesn't have because they are sentences I am not saying. among them:
"trans men aren't oppressed"
"trans men have the same amount of privilege as cis men" (see: 70 cents to their dollar)
"trans men don't face their own issues that deserve discussion and attention"
"trans men are ontologically evil"
"it's bad to be a trans man"
"a trans man killed my grandma"
see, I employed a writing strategy wherein, if I don't believe a sentence to be true, I don't say it
"but they're putting us all in the tranny killing machine!"
source
"but The Law will target all of us!"
nobody is saying you don't have your own problems, trans men, but you have power over us, and you choose to ignore our problems again and again and again
Yes trans men, you do also face bigotry and its important that people recognize that. But you also need to be advocating for trans women and trans people of color who face the same bigotry you do and then some extra bigotry on top of that. We are all faggots in the eyes on the state means that throwing your fellow queers under the bus will never save you, not that all our pain is equal.
I think it’s the
“We’re both poor, but I’m throwing shade at you for acting like you’re better than me, when I’m clearly better than you for noticing the truth”
Vibe that doesn’t sit well with me.
It’s like that “older sibling doesn’t like that their younger sibling has been through less school and knows less” sort of “utter lack of nurturing” and indignant
When someone says “hey, dude you forget to be kind?”
Because the activism isn’t about unity. It forgot unity in the face of what it perceived as being patronized.
But it refuses to be up front about how condescending it was in the first place and gaslights anyone who points it out.
It’s like fighting prejudice and then deciding it has reviewed itself and found no evidence of managing to be prejudiced in the process.
— but it comes from a place of refusing to be sorry for being angry about the poor treatment it got from its target.
The “Hurt People hurt people” thing happening again.
Circles and circles and circles of “legitimate reasons to treat someone like junk”.
And I could be managing to do it myself, with this post.
The word for drum in European languages
Always sad when the information is delivered by link.
It’s always a site that prioritizes ads — and I wonder: Why would you do that to people?
It’s like offering information along a walking path, but every so often, you put one of the plaques across a muddy stream that never dries up, but sometimes floods with a company’s waste — and it’s a deliberate feature that there’s no bridge.
my stance on the trans athlete debate is always and forever going to be that sports should be completely desegregated because humans have one of the smallest levels of sexual dimorphism in the animal kingdom and the disparity we see between male and female performance is entirely caused by social factors rather than anything biological. “should trans women compete against cis women” i think cis men and cis women could compete fairly but that’s apparently a little too spicy for people to wrap their minds around bc they’ve been told their whole lives women are biologically inferior & never thought to question that. or wonder if it’s maybe a self fulfilling prophecy of some kind. are women biologically inferior or do they appear so because patriarchy demands that of us?
If only there hadn’t already been sports where competitors were segregated by class and capability
Then, maybe this debate about gender wouldn’t sound so tone deaf, to me.
Whether or not (any) man or (any) woman competes in a physical sport together has only a tangential relationship with who’s getting paid more by their employers.
Really?? Like, no, seriously?
Not being able to control other people's reactions and feelings and still just living your own life the most sincerely you can and not trying to clear up every misunderstanding or negative feeling is to being a woman as I would imagine getting promoted to CEO is for men
Okay, but I’ve wanted to be a teacher since I was 10.
I have a compulsion to give someone clues and information to help them understand a new idea.
I get in the trouble with the unsolicited or clumsy attempts, tho. Problematic emotions also get in the way, now and again. Good for motivation. But not well enough directed.

Imagine a group of Nazgûl that maintain their screeching like a group of crickets creating unwavering and perpetual sound tearing at your ears and your brain and your sanity.
The recognitions of prejudice and the recognitions of hubris at war with each other in my brain.
But is it about me controlling them? I wrestle with that, thanks to the accusations, but no. I’m not talking about controlling anyone. I’m talking about me and how to deal with them — which doesn’t include genocide - I mean, why would you be thinking something negative about me at this point?
No, there hasn’t been time enough since the post for the accusations to be related to it; I’m just continuing my thoughts via (like that?) a format I did not come up with on my own.
It’s never about me forcing someone else to do a thing — or if it is, then it is only to use more words when responding to me, so I understand better.
You have Free Will and can do whatever in the bloody hells pleases you. However, THAT is beside the point.
No, I haven’t been promoted to CEO; but I’m sure you’re not surprised. But with which emotion to you agree with that expectation? Disdain? Apathy? Something kinder?
Is it the thought that counts? Or can we collaborate to shift the actions so they do better at someone else’s needs, instead of assuming the intentions were bad? This, in itself, is the request for reciprocation of changing someone else — but again:
Just because I ask someone to do something (or demand it, even), doesn’t mean I’ve assumed they are required or somehow bound to do so.
Free Will still exists.
Everything is predicated on that.

So there’s this Executive Order 14224, making the language of the U.S. officially English — meaning all language options in the U.S. could go away, per individual discretion.
But my question is:
As part of immigration services, does the U.S. government facilitate the learning of English?
The EO has this language about people passing English to their children that gives me very ominous “instead of anything else” vibes and I wonder about any supposed interest in the U.S. still having relations with anyone outside the country.
The world’s language is not English, no matter how many education systems provide it as an option, so they can deal with the xenophobes that come out of English speaking systems.
It just seems like restriction to me, not inclusion.
In the weeks that sometimes drifted between threats, he had begun to use the armor’s haste for a brief visit to the hill. Days upon days of redundant guards across the valley and a generation of battles when the Vindilchi attacked, had given him some confidence that such a brief foray was of little risk. Part of him still argued the negligence, but it was the personal check that bolstered the confidence. It was his rest hour, so it was never as if he left a hole in the castle’s guard.
Out of armor, he never dared visit the hill alone. The same generation of battles had taught him the attacks could still surprise them. Alone was the only way he felt he could truly appreciate what peace existed on the hill. The red poppies under the red clouds; the breeze that kept the flora audible around him and the breaks in the clouds that revealed the sky, the deep contrast that reminded them… The nihilists thought the flowers were some kind of abomination, feared the truth beyond the clouds — but these details of their world gave him peace.
When he stood again and gazed down the valley, viewing his home from the distance… The castle on the very edge of range when the atmosphere turned everything red, his home amid the living green, sitting within the foreboding red that had come when his grandfather died in the first attacks …could still manage to seem a comforting pillow underneath it all. No one understood the peace he found in this spot; knowing his family was safe inside those walls, feeling their history in the construction seated in the natural landscape within the atmosphere above the land …
He called his horse as he stepped toward her, halting her grazing. He petted her, fed her a morsel and mounted, taking one last look at the scene before activating the armor’s ample enchantment again to quickly return to the castle and relieve his replacement. No Vindilchi had ever bested him and his resolve was as diamond that none ever would.

Today, ahead of President’s Day, is Abraham Lincoln’s birthday. In association with Black History Month, I’m honoring the day the U.S. declared an end to slavery; effective January 1, 1863.
The United States is a place for all free People.
No matter who goes into power, it is only American to strive to make true, the meaning of the words in the Declaration of Independence. The idea that all humans being the race of Man, that all Men are created equal.
All of us, in our diversity, deserve the respect of other human beings; that we not strive to subdue or eliminate them. That we are free to be ourselves, so long as that does not involve erasing someone else’s life or agency or existence.
To all Black People, and all People who would fear the government; let it be understood you have allies in all races — but especially the white race — as we do our best to make up for past grievances by continuing to fight for those words to be true.
Against all enemies, foreign and domestic.
History is all around you 💙
This is black history. We’ve always been here and always will be. Happy Black Month to black queer who are proud to be black and the shoulders we stand on ✊🏾🤎
Just going to leave this here for a bit.
For what this woman (and her character) represents in U.S. history.
