I rewatched Pluribus for the second time and have a lot of feelings about Carol, her youth, and camp Freedom Falls… and how it all affected her adult life, too. The whole “we can fix you” narrative… it’s brutal and I think even when the details don’t match exactly, most of us queer people can identify with this kind of story in one way or another 💔

And yeah, I couldn’t resist wondering: what if Raban was inspired by Carol‘s childhood sweetheart before everything forced a different path? Not canon, probably, but I tucked a few easter eggs in anyway of a girl called R…..
