at the end of the day, it's really none of our business if will comes to van or not. if he does, that's great! if he doesn't, that's fine too! doesn't mean he isn't "avoiding" training when he was literally spotted at conte yesterday. webweave and create narrys all you want but please don't immediately attack the players when things aren't going the way it is in your head (not to you of course op, i'm just talking to everyone here in general)

i’m willmack down don’t worry ahaha. they have a lot of moments that are buzzy af 2 me but if i had to pick one i’d say december 13th for the implications of it. also the game against the flames (i think?), when mack gave up the play to push the guy who hit will after his injury 🙂‍↕️🚬 honorable mention to will’s freudian slip “i opened him up”🤨🤨🤨 & ofc #the balcony video

there are anons (or is the same person?) here and on another blog talking about the "hate mack is getting over the nhl cover".. i don't know if i might have the right blogs blocked or what but i haven't seen any of it lol and if "hate" is people worried about the nhl cover curse then i don't understand why they don't see the other problems.

Can I also just add this isn’t even “Mack’s camp.” This isn’t some special thing Mack organized like Crosby camp or MacKinnon’s Vail thing. These are training sessions Kaivo organizes & plans, that have attracted various NHL players & non-NHL players long before Mack started going. They take applications from players, they schedule it, and they develop the drills. I’m sure NHL players don’t have to apply, and they also don’t need a special Mack invite —contact Kaivo, say you want to come, and voila, you’re training at Scotia Barn with Mack and the others who train in Van. There are similar training programs that NHLers who live in other parts of the continent use, including Holland Hockey Academy and Whittier, where Will also trains with a lot of NHLers! Including sharks teammates Kesselring and Graf.

I know it’s not the biggest deal, but this whole “Will doesn’t care enough about training to attend the special baby sharks camp Mack planned” is not based in reality, but I think it’s making people come down on Will for no reason.

THIS!!! i’ve been hoping someone would clear this up since apparently there’s people who believe mack is the one who’s actually putting in a lot of effort to organize this whole thing, when in reality it’s way easier than that. and yup, i feel like ppl completely skipped over will training with kesselring and graf, not me tho, it was huge news for me lol

okay in between all of this i'm going to come out and admit that since bedsy's injury a part of me doesn't want will to go to vancouver. i know it was just bad lack and a weird fall but i don't know. i also remember someone who trained with mack saying that he would have the zamboni do the ice again because he didn't like how they did it the first time. i know all of this is just mostly not really rational but i just don't know ahahah i got this feeling ahaha that i would prefer will to stay in boston's private rinks rather than in the vancouver's public ones

lmaooooo. this probably has more to do with bedsy being so damn unlucky, i believe will smith lucky girl syndrome would protect him. but yeah, you gotta keep in mind that wsh is rehabbing an injury so i’m sure his schedule might look a little different. i’m actually excited to see him play now that he had time to properly heal his shoulder

in response to a different ask you got — will literally trains and plays with Mack the rest of the year??? they spend majority of their time together for more than 6 months every single day. like 1 or 2 weeks in Vancouver wont make or break the chemistry between them, especially when its at a random camp with like 20 other hockey players. like it’d be really cool to see as a fan but in the end its just simply nawwwt that serious

no but fr. ofc training together during the summer wouldn’t do any harm and would give them the chance to improve even more, but like, even if that’s not the case they’ll survive. also, they literally said they’ll train together so this whole discourse will be useless

the anon you got is the same anon who are terrorizing some blogs here stirring up drama about will not training with mack and samisa in vancouver. i think it's also the same anon who was going around before about the will smith trade. it's so obvious it's just the same person who hates blogs who likes to rpf about willmack. i've checked a gossip blog here and hurrah, there's an anon sending things from willmack tag on there and they are complaining about people doing rpf on here, lol i'm pretty sure it's the same anon because of the way they talk and type. so i suggest you just block it.

i realized it lol. i didn't think saying something i thought was obvious—and a widely held view—would spark a discussion. i only use the willmack tag to organize stuff into my account and i check it out if there’s some new content about wsh and mack together, so i'm not always up to date on what's going on. i'll block these people just as i've blocked others in the past for being annoying; i just wanted to answer some specific asks to clarify my point of view.

bruh...the way people downplay hockey players that aren't Mack. Will has been training since may and let's not forget we don't know the state of his shoulder injury rehab (very important point imo).

also why fans immediately assume Will DON'T WANT to go to Van. literally we know nothing besides what they decide to share but fans think they know everything including what it's best for Will lol, literally Will can be working on what Warso/the org indicated (they talked about it btw) but people here seem to think the only valid work is with Mack and the rest of "elite players".

there are almost two months of off-season, there's still time for Will and Mack training together in Boston or Van or somewhere; and if they don't then they'll have their reasons and we won't know unless they mention it later.

i am only saying other players like mack also get hated on and will smith is not the sole victim. it’s normal for people to wonder if will is going or not or if his plans changed. i don’t see anything wrong with that. i personally think he will go to van later but asking why he isn’t there yet ≠ hating on will. if the other sharks players are in boston with will and mack is not there, people will ask the same question.

Normal about Will? Yea, i don't see that happening not when he'd have to strap a gopro to his head and livestream every workout and call with mack to stop whatever nonsense some people spew. And they wouldn't stop anyway. But what i do hope happens is that nhl, sharks and sharks on nbc stop posting so many pictures of him. Like last season especially nhl was overdoing it like crazy. Like sure, post game clips and goals or whatever, but please no more warm up pics or walk-in pics from every other game. Also, same people begging sharksmin to please post Will are the one's nitpicking and belittling him at every turn. And if i open my mouth about cat and her podcast 😬

they won’t stop posting about will because he drives engagement on their posts, lol. they know that all they have to do is post a photo of him walking in or a video of him playing sewer ball, and that’ll guarantee them exposure. it’s no secret that will has gained a lot of visibility thanks to his good looks and his relationship with mack—the business will exploit this as much as possible. though there are other hockey players who have more clout than he does, yet people are able to treat them normally. i think the fact that will comes across as very down-to-earth and has hobbies and tastes similar to other people’s makes him seem so approachable that people act as if he’s their friend when he isn’t. i don’t buy into the “victim” narrative about people close to him exploiting his image to generate engagement, because i also believe he enjoys being the center of attention—but i think the problem lies with the parasocial fans who often set him up to the point where it seems almost intentional

If you care about the hockey of it all you care about him doing the best possible training and that’s with elite players - can’t get much more elite than with Mack and there’s the opening for it atm
