the thing about Dead White Guys History is like. It is in fact important to learn. The way people are venerated is a mistake, and the way that's the only focus of history is a mistake. But for better or for worse, if you want to understand the origins of the way society is, you do in fact need to read about a bunch of dead white guys and the ways they thought about things.

i think being in your 20s is just wanting to be taken care of, always. of course most people want that all the time throughout their lives, but its especially true when you are drowning in the responsibilities of adulthood, and your memories of childhood are so recent but just out of reach. and the loneliness. oh god the loneliness. mom am i still young can i dream for a few months more?

They actually did make them back in the 2000s or 2010s; not sure why they were discontinued but I do know that when I briefly worked at Target in 2005 our manager forgot his soup was self-heating and putting one of those Campbell’s ones in the microwave, causing it to explode hard enough to blow the door clean off it and damage the ceiling
