no hit took a couple tries cause of those fuckin bomberman attacks, specifically the small bombs the big ones are easy as long as you don’t have too much hubris. also there’s a moment where I weave between 2 cats early on???? don’t know how I did that, i was messing with my music at that point cause I’ve done that attack a billion times, after getting hit by the bombs and letting myself perish.

basically no "theory" or prediction positing that the darkners have to be sealed away or remain objects forever has been able to explain in a satisfying manner why the darkners don't get to exist but the lightners do.

there has always been, in my opinion, a dissonance in this conversation, where players treat kris / susie / noelle / etc as if they are somehow more real when to Me, and everyone else reading this post, they are just as real as ralsei / lancer / tenna / etc because they are all fictional characters coded onto the game Deltarune™ in my nintendo switch. why do WE want to uphold the dichotomy between them so much?

in the context of escapism, it just sort of... feels strange, doesn't it? deltarune doesn't even posit the idea that dark worlds are always good; the main gameplay loop has been entering these fun, fantastical dark worlds in order to close them, which disrupts this idea of the all-consuming fantasy.

more over, ralsei's entire arc has been about accepting personhood!!! ralsei learns to accept all the likes, dislikes, desires, and fears that come with being alive. and stripping that away... would just kind of really suck???? tragic/sad endings are fine and good - i'm not saying things can't ever end sadly - but i simply have never gotten the impression i was playing through a tragedy on deltarune's normal route, even post-chapter four.

hope is so instrumental to this game, so while i'm willing to be surprised, i really can't imagine a satisfying conclusion where the hope is squandered for nothing that doesn't feel like a hypocritical rug-pull.

thinking about carol in the weird route. her first daughter went missing years ago. even if she knows about the knight, that's not dess anymore, not fully. then her husband falls down. then, that same day, her other daughter as well as godchild/pawn/godchild drowned themselves in the lake. she was already tragic, but now?

carol holiday is utterly alone.

like uh hey, i know things took a weird route just now...

god the weird route makes me go crazy. the device theory stuff? enter chapter 7 b side? more importantly, in the normal route noelle mentions wanting to go away. susie interprets this as running away from home, but the weird route shows... god noelle is so relatable. feeling like you're wearing a mask of your own face from when you were younger, acting how you "should" because any other way would be out of character. feeling so empty, wanting something, anything to happen, even if its awful. the suicide ideation. imagining susie coming back, seeing them floating in the lake, trying to save them. maybe seeing the breadcrumbs in the water, diving in, and seeing a cloud of dust, and forcing herself not to panic so she might be able to save kris, because she can't lose them both, but its too late. assuming their bodies are there, and not wrongwarpped. oughhhh the brain worms....

me when im in a mention jevil 500 times competition and my opponent is ch 5. seriously, the aqua battle starts the same way. blue and yellow have a line where blue says something along the lines of "is the world revolving, or am i?" and yellow says "blue's a revolver? well i do love guns!". what's going on. where is he. toby really said "okay jevil fans. after 3 chapters with like one mention, here's an avalanche."

i only have this suselle screenshot but HOLY SHIT THE KRUSIELLE SHIT THIS CHAPTER. people have been saying krusie is unrequited and uh. did we play the same game? sure kris definitely thinks it is, but like, look at what susie says. ESPECIALLY ON THE WEIRD ROUTE. "what am i, a pilliow to you guys?" "whatever we have is cooler" "i know me and noelle are getting close, but you're still important to me" and thats just the krusie parts. the kriselle parts? voting for noel hollyday and kris dreamer? just like when they were kids? then going in the ferris wheel and reminicing, with noelle realizing kris shook the ferris wheel to distract her and comfort her? oh my god. i don't have to talk about the suselle parts, they're self-evident. you get the screenshot. going from castletown, where there's a throuple every 5 feet, to hometown, where its specifically one king and one queen, where you have to choose between which duo? im feral. im crazy. krusielle is basically canon. the berdly interaction? "we need them" when you first meet with noelle? "it is easier if kris is with us." oh my god. krusielle
