Appearance

Basil is a green emerald with green skin. He wears a white button-up shirt under an emerald-green jacket with a light yellow tie with a dollar sign pattern on it, emerald-green pants, and dark brown shoes. He also wears a light yellow boater hat with a green band.

Personality

Basil is a very sleazy but affable salesman who doesn’t care who his actions affect, just as long as he gets cash from doing it. However, under certain circumstances, Basil is very much a coward and afraid to stand up for himself, but he is a dirty coward and throws his sister under the bus when given the chance.

Like his sister Scarlet, Basil cares about getting fast cash quickly; however, he is very different from his sister on how to achieve it. As the owner of “Big Bazzie’s Emporium”, he is very much committed to conning Toons into buying stupid stuff for their money. In the show he runs many other businesses around Gardenville, such as car dealerships, toy stores, etc., that are all owned by him and all have very shoddy products.

Sometimes Basil is Scarlet’s partner in crime, helping her get even with her rival Shelly. However, Basil is mostly unsure about working with and helping his sister. But he is afraid to stand up for himself, as Scarlet reprimands him for messing up or screwing around.

Ability

Trade Offer Active This Toon can trade items or trinkets with other nearby Toons for tapes. Items cost 10 to 35 tapes to trade (depending on rarity) while trinkets cost 50 tapes. Toons will also be able to see his items when nearby. Only one item/trinket can be traded at a time. Has a cooldown of 50.

(His ability works similar to Ginger’s in which the player must hold down the ability button to use the ability (but with a slightly bigger range) In which case a menu will open up when successfully activated to trade an item/trinket. The ability will cancel out if the target leaves his range or he/the Toon he’s trading with gets spotted by a Twisted. The cooldown will also only begin until after the trade is over, regardless of result. Also like Ginger’s ability, the player that it’s being used on will be notified via a pop-up that the Basil player wants to trade with them.).

Twisted Basil is a wandering Twisted who attacks not only on the floor he’s on; but also in Dandy’s Shop. On even floors, there’s a chance that one of the items in the shop will be replaced by one of his own shoddy products. These items will do the opposite of their intended purposes and will hinder your performance. Here’s a list of them:

Bazzie’s Chew’em’s (Gumballs): Will lower a random stat by 20% for 10 seconds.

Bazzie’s Taste-tastic Choco Bar (Chocolate): Upon use, decreases Max Stamina by 50% and Walk Speed by 20% for 20 seconds.

Bazzie’s Accurate Clock-o-Matic (Stopwatch): While extracting a Machine, decreases Skill Check window size by 50 for 15 seconds.

Bazzie’s Lemon Lime Chew-It-Up (Stamina Candy): Upon use, decreases Stamina Regeneration by 50% for 20 seconds.

Bazzie’s Blue Raspberry Chew-It-Up (Stealth Candy): Upon use, decreases Stealth by 25% for 8 seconds.

Bazzie’s Fiztastic Soda (Pop): Upon use, depletes 45 Stamina.

Bazzie’s Banana Chew-It-Up (Speed Candy): Upon use, decreases Walk and Run Speed by 25% for 5 seconds.

Bazzie’s Power Punch Bar (Protein Bar): Upon use, decreases Stamina Regeneration by 150% for 15 seconds, equivalent to -6 stamina per second for most Toons.

Bazzie’s Extraction for Cretins (Instructions): While extracting a Machine, decreases Extraction Speed by 50% for 5 seconds upon use.

Bazzie’s Grape Chew-It-Up (Extraction Speed Candy): While extracting a Machine, decreases Extraction Speed by 50% for 5 seconds upon use.

Bazzie’s Hot Cinnamon Chew-It-Up (Skill Check Candy): Upon use, decreases Skill Check chance by 25% for 15 seconds.

Bazzie’s Shockingly Awesome Cables (Jumper Cables): While extracting a Machine, reduces a large amount of completion upon use.

Bazzie’s Heal-O-Matic Bandage [Won’t Give You Rashes] (Bandage): Upon use, depletes 1 ♥️.

Bazzie’s Mad Noisemaker (Airhorn): Upon use, significantly increases Stealth by 50 for 10 seconds and conceals your current location from nearby + specific Twisteds.

Bazzie’s Bottle of Fiztastic (Bottle o' Pop): Upon use, depletes your Stamina to zero capacity

Bazzie’s Heal-O-Rama Aid Kit (Health Kit): Upon use, depletes ♥️ to the minimum

Bazzie’s Taste-tastic Chocolate Box (Box o' Chocolates): Upon use, decreases Max Stamina by 25, and Run Speed by 10% for 10 seconds.

Bazzie’s Eject-O-Matic (Eject Button): Upon use, decreases Stealth, Walk, and Run Speed by 25 for 3 seconds, and applies the Slow Debuff, if you don’t have it.

Bazzie’s Sneaky Sneaker Bomb (Smoke Bomb): While not being chased by a Twisted, make it gain interest in you for 3 seconds. (You can be hurt during this time.) (Works on Lethal Twisteds.)

Bazzie’s Krazy Krank-O-Rama Valve (Valve): While extracting a Machine, delays its completion upon use.

If one of Twisted Basil’s items is in the shop, he is guaranteed to spawn on the proceeding floor after Dandy’s Shop closes. But otherwise he behaves like a standard Common Twisted.with only an above average detection range and attention span.

Twisted Research Trinket: Bootleg Plush Trinket Category: Other Grants the user a 25% discount on all Dandy’s Shop items during intermissions on even Floors

Trivia

Basil is primarily inspired by Lionel Hutz from The Simpsons, along with James from Pokémon, as he serves as the right-hand man to the girl (in this case, his sister Scarlet)

Coincidentally, his older brother Azul’s voice claim is Eric Stuart, who voiced James in the first 8 seasons of Pokemon.

Basil partners with Midas around St. Patrick’s Day and it’s the only time he’s around someone else other than Scarlet.

Two of Basil’s trading dialogues are references to the CDI game “Link: The Faces of Evil”, specifically the character of Morshu, the shopkeeper of the game.

His ability name is a reference to the “Trade Offer” meme.

Basil is sort of the black sheep/odd man out of his siblings, since he is not a diamond (which he even references in one of his extraction quotes) and his name does not allude to or reference his color.

He is also the only Lustera sibling to not be a rival to any other Toon, as Scarlet is Shelly’s rival and Azul is “unofficially” Rodger’s rival.

Basil’s trinket function is similar to Twisted Dandy’s, just weaker. That is on purpose because it is a bootleg plush of Basil compared to the genuine plush of Dandy. Not to mention Basil is a Rare Toon, a couple ranks below Dandy, a Lethal.

Razzle and Dazzle Carebears Collab Fan Design

So I have a personal story with these two, my brother and I are identical twins and one of us had a Perfect Panda and the other had a Polite Panda, so I'm kinda projecting this onto these two, but also: I really hate how basic they made Polite in the new gen of Carebears so I redesigned her belly badge and colors for this! And since I accidentally obscured their badges and did the Polite badge custom, (at least the rose part), I put theirs right next to each other

Improv AUo and Barry Carebears Collab

Soooo this one I decided to use characters from the Improv au, specifically Cosmo and Sprout's "Lookalikes"/"Clones" Mo and Barry, personally my brother and I would've loved Sprout and Cosmo to be Secret Bear and Friend Bear, as those two are actually inseparable best friends that are co dependant on one another in Care Bears, at least the 80s cartoon (Secret Bear is mute and Friend Bear is basically his voice) I tried to do the 80s designs as well but couldn't get them to look right, anyways enjoy! Dyle as Noble Heart Horse (Fake Carebears Collab Designs)

Hi I'm back, I have quite a few more of these to post over the next few days but for now: When trying to find the 80s design I found out they're bringing Noble Heart back so I drew him in both his current design (As best I can, colors are a bit muddy since they only had a photo from a cardboard cutout, eventually I'll fix this when they release a better picture), and then I did the 80s design which was the one I was intending to do anyways.

Small thing but I thought Noble Heart was fitting because not only was he the other big important founder character next to True Heart in the 2nd Carebears movie, but also was pretty forgotten since the 80s (Only really having 2 "retro" releases beyond the 80s one for an anniversary in the 2000s, and the other being a limited release in Australia), and also he was a horse,
