hi i'm very. i've been in the vbros fandom since 2013 privately enjoying the show and lurking on tumblr/reddit but none of my friends have seen it so i don't have anyone to talk about it with. would love to make some friends who also love the show. 🥲

also i've been writing vbros fanfic for like 10 years and just deleting it out of shame but i think i'm gonna start posting it on ao3 because i don't want our fandom to die

I think “spanakopita” might be the purest episode of Venture Brothers in terms of what that universe is all about, how it runs, who matters. In true VB form, it’s a story about how the things we do to and for each other don’t go away when the laugh track plays and the episode ends.

The kidnappers try to comfort a traumatized little boy, the golden age heroes are too busy fucking around on a yacht to notice that a kid is missing for a week, a washed up child celebrity single-handedly keeps the economy of a small island running not through benevolence but through the warped memory of one of the few good weeks he ever had, money changes hands for petty and self serving reasons, there’s a bizarre subplot with a Universal Albino Code,,

Basically it’s a cruel world but it’s not hopeless; people are self serving but not, on the whole, evil. Twenty years later, one good deed in the middle of a crime is rewarded. The albino code holds.

I feel like she’d have a half shave with a rat tail braid. her V would be in face paint and dots to mimick traditional indigenous face paint. and all her relationships would be just as toxic as her parents was,she goes through femmes monthly and they all break her heart. Hits on Dean because she thought he was a femme tomboy. She’s called “Corporal Litefoot” becuase Corporal is one down from Sargent and Litefoot is an actual Amerindian actor. Her real name is Tallulah Haine LittleFoot but she loathes her abnormally small shoe size so she overcompensates by wearing giant clown shoe tier boots over them She’s daddy’s “brown little boygirl” at the end of the day and will underplay and overlook his questionable actions to this day.

pete and billy's relationship was such a crazy thing to put in venture bros. like on some level it is queer bait and it is appealing to an audience that wanted to see that relationship. but also they are literally just gay. within the narrative of the show. to other characters in the show. they live together. they're life partners. in all the ways it matters they're in a relationship. but pete denies that he's gay? it feels like less an attempt to deny their relationship and more like a character flaw on petes part WHICH MAKES THEIR RELATIONSHIP SO MUCH MORE INTERESTING!!! because what do you mean you are in a relationship with a man. his mother thinks you're lovers. you sleep in the same bed. yet you are not gay? it's so so interesting to me. I need to study pete so bad
