World Heritage Post
To my autistic gang, just letting you know. I see you. Every time that you feel SO incredibly strongly that 'this person is wrong, and surely they will understand if I just explain to them what their misconception is' and then make the concrete decision not to do that, I am acknowledging and appreciating you. I know that it goes against every instinct you have.
Find another autistic person and let them know how brave you were. You did a great job and I am proud of you.
(Note: this is NOT about bigotry, call that shit out wherever you see it)
Like sometimes you do just have to let people be wrong. I know, and I'm sorry.

Happy Birthday, Kazuma Kiryu! 🎉🥳
This post is almost 11 years old now, so I feel like it’s time for an update:
JRPG where the teenage firebrand protagonist is taken under wing by a wise older mentor figure in their twenties, as one does, except the third party member to join is in their thirties and regards both the protagonist and the initial mentor as dumb kids; the fourth is in their forties and thinks the same of the first three; and so forth.

As someone in my (late) twenties, I audibly snorted at "wise older mentor figure in their twenties"
And he looks
Fabulous
The man has the legs for it honestly
WORK IT KING!!!
we stan a legend

Mark Bryan first wore stilettos in college:
“I’ve always had a thing for high-heeled shoes,” he says over Zoom. “It started back when I was in college forty years ago. I had a roommate that was sort of a girlfriend, who was as tall as I was, but she loved to wear four-inch heels, so she was naturally always taller.”

He started wearing them again in his 50s. According to him, the trigger was
So what prompted him to break them in again in his late fifties? It was spotting a pair of four-inch stilettos in a colour he really liked. “They matched a pair of skinny jeans I had perfectly,” he says. “Then I determined after wearing them out to dinner that I had no problem doing this on a regular basis. I started out wearing block heels to work and slowly worked the stilettos in the rotation.”
the legally blonde mentality isnt just for law students. u can bring that attitude with you into every field of work. be the whimsical force of positive change. wear that neon outfit. snaps for us all.
this post was inspired by my boss telling me she couldnt "take me seriously" in a pair of dinosaur print overalls. sorry i have two degrees and a dope wardrobe. you dont need to take me seriously but You Will Take Me.
OP's an inspiration. bring on the whimsy movement!
TIL in 1915, San Diego hired a “rain maker” who used a secret mix of chemicals to “attract rain” for $10,000, payable if he filled their reservoir. It rained for most of January, destroying bridges, dams, and causing 20 deaths.

that was the Devil
I mean they wanted rain
His name was Charles Hatfield and I’m not saying that you shouldn’t make a deal with him, but I am saying that you should be very clear about the terms and conditions
I think we need to fully appreciate the fact that the reason he “looks like the Devil” is that many depictions of the Devil in American popular media are specifically caricatures of this guy. Like, imagine being a con man and fucking up your hustle so badly that for more than a century afterwards people start drawing the Devil to look like you.
