Long version: A Skrull impersonating Hank Pym at a deep genetic level recalls a memory where Hank visited Bruno’s Nighttime Cafe in Oregon years ago and thoroughly enjoyed a signature drink, coffee with hot chocolate in it. The event plays a part in the Skrull’s shortly-lived decision to side with humanity instead of the Skrull empire.

“I suppose if he would improve himself for anyone, it would be for Hope…“ Janet sighed, knowing sincerely that Hank would never harm their daughter, but still feeling remorse that she herself would never be included within Hank’s circle of complete protection

“One thing I would very much like to see would be his lab…just, you understand, as a means of confirming that he is indeed confining his experiments there…can you show me?“ her eyes darting to the otherwise inconspicuous door in the adjacent hallway that she knew to be the entrance to the lab, indicating that it was hardly a secret to her

She felt like it was a bad idea…just because of the security systems, but then she guessed there really wasn’t anything she could do to stop her.  Trying to say no would probably result in her thinking Hank was up to something, and also very likely be ignored.  She instead nodded, moving towards the door and opening it, there wasn’t much of a locking system on it, the true security measures were what waited on the other side.  “I mean…I guess I can’t really stop you, and I mean…as long as you’re um…you know security system, he has a list of who’s allowed in, I um…I’ll go with you if it’s okay? Just to um…make sure nothing attempts to um…hurt anyone?” 

“To be honest, seeing if I could get past the security system is part of the test; I’d be worried if he was trying too hard to keep me out.“

She led the way to the lab, placing a hand on the doorknob and carefully twisting it - the door appeared to open without incident, the creaking of the hinges and the light frame, but it sounded somehow off, as if it was a convincing emulation...there was just no substitute for the real thing.

Once in the lab, Janet strolled around, taking mental notes of everything; her expression was one of strong judgment, but as she began to look around, her visage softened.

“I see he’s kept all the deadly items on high shelves...and I don’t see any trace of experiments with artificial intelligence...“ she spoke the latter term with a clear tone of disgust, as if it carried negative connotations to her

Her eyes then darted to the nearby metal table, one which caused her to tense up.

“...I’m guessing that’s where he does his human experimentation? Just on you...right? No volunteers of dubious consent?"

“I just came to check out Hank’s place. He wanted to start having Hope come and stay, I wanted to make sure he was making good on his promise to keep his work and family life separate…“ Janet’s eyes did a sweep around the room, noticing a few items that had been modified, though nothing out of the ordinary for a kitchen, at least one maintained by her husband, “I don’t see any death rays lying around, so I take it he’s gotten better at keeping it in the lab?“

She nodded timidly, nursing her injury, not wanting to mention part of that was her, she did her best to keep the place clean. “Yeah um…definitely…well maybe there might have been some motivation behind that…probably wanting to see Hope again…” She informed her looking honest, but in reality it probably had more to do with herself cleaning up, and hank’s desire not to let kilgrave get hold of anything he made.  

But it was probably better not to mention that.
