Vi does not belong to Caitlyn. She is so much more than Caitlyn's partner. Her happy ending wasn't moving away from everything she knew. It wasn't losing her relationships with the people she considered family. Her happy ending was finding herself again. It was gaining her strength and getting her spine back.
She wanted to fight against topside and yet she ended up with nothing, simply the girlfriend of someone who hurt her.
Vi deserves to be with Ekko and Jinx, her remaining family. Not with a girl she knew for less than a year.

Jinx and Vi headcanons if they lived in a modern alternative universe where Vi didn't meet Caitlyn and kept her main focus on trying to get her little sis mentally stable.
Silco is still an unlawful man who turns Powder into Jinx and is the reason why Vander dies, but the drama is significantly toned down.
That being said, Vi still struggles in helping her sister get back up on her feet.

I like to talk about Vi's relationship with her sister and some of her old beliefs in canon, but I haven't really come up with au stuff.
Hmm.... Modern au Vi..... Modern... au....
I'd like to think that in a modern au where Powder stayed with Vi, Vi would be parentified (similar to how she was basically parentified in canon) and would be juggling school and work while also trying to take care of her little sis.
She'd take up jobs at an early age, like early highschool, and would be a struggling student with great potential. The main reason her grades aren't perfect would be because of her time spent taking care of Powder and working.
She'd probably work as a factory worker π€
Or perhaps as a cashier at some fast food place
Thrifts are her go to cause they're cheap. If she feels like she has a few bucks to spare, she'll buy some random book at the thrift and add it to her growing collection. Otherwise, her money goes towards her savings and necessities.
Her counselor would likely try to encourage Vi to focus more on school knowing that she had good scores on state tests. Maybe she'd eventually take advantage of the fact that her school has a small library to read books, but it would be hard for Vi not to focus on taking care of her household. Thankfully, Claggor and Mylo can take care of themselves decently, but they still rely on her at times.
Also, I feel like she'd probably get some stick and poke tattoos at a young age.
And she'd 100% be a self taught and/or taught by Vander fighter.
