I began to realize how important it was to be an enthusiast in life. If you are interested in something, no matter what it is, go at it full speed ahead. Embrace it with both arms, hug it, love it and above all become passionate about it. Lukewarm is no good.

I'm so behind on posts it's ridiculous but here's some more pics from my volunteering experience in Nicaragua. Going through all my photos is making me all nostalgic :O

Back in Denmark
Okay so I'm back in Denmark now, I meant to write something sooner but I've been ill ever since I got back from the trip. I can't wait to write out all the details and upload the pictures, but for now this will have to do because my head is throbbing so much. Basically the trip was a real roller coaster ride... I had some insanely hard times, and some amazing times. I've met some fantastic people that I never would have met otherwise, and I've actually learnt enough basic Spanish to get by in a place that speaks absolutely no English :P When I got back I spent three days in London with my family and then we came back here. Not much has happened really (again, mostly because I'm sick) and it's been really weird coming back to 'normality' and it not feeling normal anymore... Urgh, I'm so tired, I can't wait to not be sick
Leaving tomorrow..
So this time tomorrow morning I will be flying to Nicaragua via Atlanta. I am absolutely terrified. My stomach is in knots and I swear I've forgotten to pack something vital but I have no idea, firstly whether that's true or not, and if it is, what I've forgotten.. Heading into Wimbledon in a little while to buy some last minute things like toothpaste/film/extra malaria tablets, and then I'm off. I'm feeling quite annoyed at TFL because their workers have chosen today and tomorrow to strike, so that's the day I have to get to my hotel, and the day I have to get to the airport. Bastards.. Yeah.. So.. This is likely to be the greatest adventure of my life so far.. I feel truly blessed to be able to do this, though to be honest it still hasn't sunk in that I'm going at all. Hopefully when that happens I can start enjoying myself, instead of continually reaching for the stomach settling meds. I'll try to update this while I'm away and if I can't I'll be keeping a detailed journal of the trip anyway so I'll post that when I arrive back in England :) Off I go :O
