My favorite thing about Edie Britt is that she is technically written as an antagonist, but she only “antagonizes” because she just wants to have close relationships and feel valued by others. That’s literally all she’s ever wanted, consistently, in the almost four complete seasons that I’ve watched of this show. Even so, I can’t entirely tell if Edie and the audience’s relationship with her is SUPPOSED to be received in this ironic way, or if the writers really do want the audience to see Edie as an obnoxious nuisance. I do think the writers do a good job of highlighting her nuances, and honestly she’s probably the most nuanced character in the whole show, at least up to this point. Everyone sucks on Wisteria Lane, we shouldn’t ever forget that, but Edie is quite literally the LEAST guilty and problematic one out of anyone who does or has lived on that street thus far. She’s smart as hell too, being a real estate agent and choosing to live AND work in an upper-class neighborhood with a frequent turnover rate, all thanks to the other psychos that will never leave the street. And they probably cause her more hell than she does them when you add it all up, but at least none of them have killed her. Their shenanigans ensure that she always has at least one extra house to sell per year! Also Susan SUCKS and every time Edie remarks that Susan victimizes herself and doesn’t realistically understand how she’s perceived by others, EDIE IS SO FUCKING REAL FOR THAT. Justice for Edie, man, she deserves better than Wisteria Lane’s stuck-up bullshit. Hashtag my Edie
i think every publisher should have to institute a ban on books that fail what i’m calling the “little life” and “what else?” tests

Finally made my meatless meatballs again after damn near a decade! It was the first recipe I was ever able to just memorize, and when my massively carnivorous father first tried it he said that he really really liked them and they did taste a lot like actual meatballs— and my father has never been one for ass-kissing, brown-nosing, make-you-feel-better-ing, etc. So that compliment was genuine as hell.
The kicker is that, after all that work I just did, I don’t even want to eat the meatless balls now😭

The year is 2020. Cole Sprouse is getting married. The bride, when she is supposed to say ‘I do,’ instead says ‘IT WAS JUST A SOCIAL EXPERIMENT, HOW DO YOU LIKE ME NOW?’ and storms off. It is the fifth time this has happened. Such is life for Cole Sprouse.
Who wants to get fucked up on the green neolithic slime that makes you hallucinate to death?
2026 has taught me so far that money is everything and having a comfortable amount is my only goal in life
