Just came on here to say that I went to a poster signing to see Woosung (Sammy) from The Rose.

I was super happy and grateful to have been able to go bc The Rose has always been my comfort group and I've been missing them a lot since the stuff with their company happened and the majority of the group went to the military.

This was my 3rd time seeing Sammy. First time was back in 2018 when I went with some college friends to watch The Rose play in the back of a bar. Then I saw them again later that year, in LA with my sister.

I hope I can see both Woosung and The Rose again soon.

In my experience, both Asians and non Asians are pretty unaware of Asian American history. I was too up until college when I took it upon myself to learn as much as possible. I’m STILL learning. The thing is, our history is barely taught. You might hear about Chinese Exclusion or the internment of Japanese citizens, but that’s usually it. In order to combat racism, ignorance, and disrupt the model minority myth, we need to understand our history.

removing unnecessary gender markers from non-medical documents like a driver’s license

genderless bathrooms where the stalls have floor-to-ceiling walls for privacy

abolishing gendered toys, colors, professions, hobbies, etc.

And NOT:

trans and non-binary people being barred from identifying with and expressing their gender
