Everything was going well. Himself and Vic had been a thing for a couple months now and well. Zach couldnât be happier spending his time with the Stark. Most of their time together was spent snuggled together, watching movies and eating sweets. It was relaxing. However something was growing more and more on his mind. As the temperature rised outside. the more Zach was feeling self conscious. His own body temperature was higher than most others and in past relationships there had been arguments over the one thing he could not help. He especially didnât want this to happen with Vic.
Slowly over time Zach was starting to reel himself in. The boy became less cuddly, avoiding body contact with Vic for more than a few seconds. He could have this happen again. He didnât want the pointless arguments.
The pair were lounging on the couch, although Zach curling up on his own in the corner. as he could see Vic sprawled out, as if her body was slowly moving closer and closer. But he couldnât say anything. He just shuffled his own body against the arm of the chair more, trying to make some more space between them.
When sheâd first met Zach, Victoria had been expecting things to last a couple of weeks at the most, just a bit of fun and a much needed distraction from everything going on with her dad. As time had gone on though, sheâd found herself feeling something real for him, though she was hesitant to admit it out loud.
And perhaps that was a good thing, because recently he had seemed to draw away from her, becoming less cuddly. As much as she tried to ignore the behaviour, she couldnât deny that it bothered her. What had she done? If she had upset him in any way, she wanted to fix it.
Of course, there was a voice in her head that said that there was nothing she could do to fix it, that Zach was simply losing interest in her. Really, she couldnât blame him if he was. Her family issues had caused her to break down in his presence, and on top of that her dad had been less than accepting. Maybe he was just deciding that it wasnât worth it. That she wasnât worth it.
Theyâd been lounging on the couch for some time now, and slowly Victoria had found herself inching towards Zach, half on instinct and half out of curiosity. Seeing him shuffle away from her, she looked up, a slight frown creasing at her face. âYou okay?â It was the only question she could bring herself to ask.
