clark and lex is a fun nemesis dynamic because it goes to a lot of different levels and varying degrees of caring from either side but a lot of times its just like Lex running up to superman, slapping him, saying “BITCH!” and then running away

but at the same time lex runs away and goes back to his lair and is like lying in his four poster egyptian silk covered bed covered in sweat like “yes… in that moment… in that moment when i slapped superman? i had the power of the gods at my fingertips. i was humanity’s might and he was holiness crumbling at my feet. he will always remember. even in his dreams he will not be able to escape the image of me calling him a bitch. it will haunt his every waking moment he will never recover from the blow that i dealt him today.”
