i love how trahearne takes the time to comment that his necromancer minions arent affected by zhaitan's power, but then proceeds to only use 1111111 in every single fight.
cool lore drop, but maybe don't distract yourself. your rotation looks super hard.
Rudiger, who would rather die than lose the boons he's gained from his patron. Drawn for a monthly prompt - 'Shatter.'
GW2 QUESTION TIME: Who is everyone's favorite Charr NPC?
Rudiger doodles.
will i ever learn to draw his beak/scars consistently?? probably not...
Snake doodles I did during October. Lost my dear Japanese rat snake, Tymora, after she escaped her enclosure and was found by the cats. Drew a nice picture of her as a sort of memorial/mourning thing, idk. Still pretty sad about the whole thing.
...and then I drew Quiche spelling 'egg' because.... egg.
The most sacred of oaths.
Spotted Rytlock in the background of an episode of Superstore. Hey buddy, what're you doing on TV??
when will my warclaw get a sexy tiger skin? griffon and jackal putting the literal, actual cat mount to shame, smh
Tarot-inspired illustrations of two of my current D&D characters, Rudiger (kenku gunslinger/warlock) and Balderdash (harengon bard). :) I'd like to continue to set with my other active characters, but humanoid silhouettes are a lot harder to do than animal folk.
There's something in the water...!
ahh yes, the april fool's patch notes are here once again to fill my lifeless husk with joy
Rudiger, kenku fighter(gunslinger)/warlock(pact of the fiend). One of my current D&D characters in a campaign going on something like two years? His character concept initially started out as, "haha, what if there was a little bird with a gun," and he has since developed into a very nuanced character that I'm always super excited to explore. :')
Some Rudiger stuff:
Raised in a human family by an eccentric inventor who found a lil kenku hatchling and thought, "haha, what if I raised it like a person?" He grew up alongside his father's biological child, but was eventually favored due to how helpful his mimicry skills were in the workshop. This eventually destroyed his relationship with his brother, Callan.
Before that, though, Callan--who always excelled at magic, much to their father's uncaringness--helped design and build Rudiger's voicebox, which he wears around his neck and is basically a sending stone that vocally projects his actual thoughts. No more "stop copying me!!" arguments.
Following his father's untimely death in a workshop accident, the two brothers split ways. Rudiger was left with most of the inheritance, but gave it up to Callan in an attempt to mend their relationship. It didn't work, and Rudiger ended up with nothing more than his father's firearm schematics.
Ended up finding a place with a little band of adventurers, as one does. Mostly doing small-time, local jobs.
Almost immediately ended up making a deal with a devil. His soul, and the souls of any who perish by his hand, in exchange for the gift of creativity/unique thought (which kenku had taken away from them when they lost their wings).
Since then, has grown very close to his devil patron! We call him Craig, and he's literally never done anything but help Rudiger when he asks for it -- though in turn Rudi has fed him some hefty souls.... like that of a kraken. :')
In a more recent session, we picked a fight with some of the Bigger Bads and Rudiger basically got himself cornered by one of them--who, despite appearing in every way as a fighter/paladin, was apparently actually a level 19 monk. And basically beat Rudiger within an inch of his life. :') Left him with a broken beak and some PTSD.
In the same fight, Rudiger also got painted with one of his party-mates' brain matter as he got his head smashed in and died...
But this led to Rudiger and Callan sort of making amends, and though there's a lot of work to be done on their relationship, it's getting there!
And Craig, being the good friend he is, kintsugi'd Rudiger's beak up with some infernal iron. :D
Also he has a gunblade now soooo that's pretty rad
I love this campaign very much, haha. Rudiger has become one of my favorite D&D characters.
The two commanders, Vera Nighthill and Aesill of the Cycle of Night. Pulled together by Trahearne for the campaign against Zhaitan, they clashed horribly at first. Neither knew what their shared mentor saw in the other until they actually saw battle side by side. Their skills and temperaments matched and complimented each other on the battlefield, and their defeat of the elder dragon cemented a deep, enduring friendship.
A bunch of dragons and a rogue god later, these two aggressively independent bitch best friends face the worst Tyria has to offer, together.
