“For as long as I can remember I just wanted to do what was right. I guess I’m not quite sure what that is anymore. And I thought I could throw myself back in and follow orders, serve. It’s just not the same.”
“You’re always so dramatic. Look, you saved the world. We rather… mucked it up.”
“You didn’t. Knowing that you helped found S.H.I.E.L.D. is half the reason I stay.”
“The world has changed, and none of us can go back. All we can do is our best, and sometimes the best that we can do is to start over.”
Captain America: Civil War (2018), dir. Anthony and Joe Russo.
Death is a natural part of life. Rejoice for those around you who transform into the Force. Mourn them do not. Miss them do not. Attachment leads to jealousy. The shadow of greed that is.
*snorts* Then why does Yoda not rejoice for the rest of the Order? It’s a natural part of life, isn’t it? He didn’t say what form of death should be rejoiced, and what shouldn’t be. Yoda’s words to Anakin suggests that ALL forms of death should be rejoiced and celebrated, no matter how the deaths came about. Yoda didn’t ask Anakin what form of death he dreamed about either.
So again, all deaths are a natural part of life and should be met with rejoicing. But it seems pretty obvious that Yoda himself can’t even achieve this, so why ask it of Anakin?
What an arcane and twisted philosophy this is…..
