That musician feel when there’s NO BAR NUMBERS. So you spend like 500000 hours counting, re counting and re re counting, the fucking bars of your 500 bar movements 😭

(Pro tip: get/borrow a score of the same edition, number the bars, tell everything the numbers of the Rehearsal numbers, and let them put all the rest in the margins themselves, you’ll all line up, much less work 👍)

My copy of Dvorak 8 last year had a love poem written about “the best bass player in the whole world” and ironically my stand had a perfect view of the bass section…

Omg I literally posted this about Dvorak 8!!! And yeah at one point mine had “PRAY!!” Double underlined? And an incomprehensible fingering over like ½ the notes on the page 😂😭🤤

Did it happen to be at the chromatic hellscape? That’s where we used up several erasers

It doesn’t seem like a hellscape to me (not trying to diss you or brag, just guessing I have more orchestral experience), but I suppose it must have been to the last violist who had it. (it was a violinist on a viola, might be a factor). When I’m gonna write all over stuff, (especially my own stuff lol) I copy and tape it into a book to keep the originals safe.

But also, with the much erasing, I may have slightly.... a little bit... kinda.... ripped a corner of 1 page? 🙈 I will now rot in a special part of hell for angering the music gods lol.
