Genuinely why the fuck did my parents randomly start caring about me.

It's not even that they care about my mental health or my well-being. It's just they care about where I am and what I'm doing and what my schedule is. And every little thing that they have never cared about before unless they were involved in it.

Genuinely the day that my dad taught me to take public transport so he wouldn't be bothered was the last day that they cared.

Why do you need to know my lunch? Why are we asking where I'm going?

I know it's normal for parents to worry, but also my parents have been neglectful my entire life so this just feels like I'm on a prison sentence
