Hi, guys! It costs $0.00 to read my dni, you nasty fricks :)
Hello, everyone! It's been quite a while (over a year, according to the post date of my last post). So, I'm here to answer some questions!
Where have I Been?
The short answer is gone. The long answer is taking care of myself. I quit my job due to my anxiety, my family was forced to sell our house after my father lost his job due to the pandemic, my mental health hit the ground, and I had a gender crisis. (Yes, me!)
What are you doing now?
I just finished my first semester of college (unfortunately will have to redo since I missed a lot of class due to mental struggles)! I'm studying to be an elementary school teacher. I have a therapist on campus who is helping me through my mental struggles. It's also a Christian campus so I am around like-minded people.
What about this blog?
I don't know, honestly. I find it difficult to focus on blogs unrelated to my current neurodivergent special interests (hence why I just retired my animatronic blog). This blog won't be deleted (I never delete a blog since I'm super sentimental lol), but it may continue to be inactive. I still retain most of my traditional values, that has not changed.
Closing thoughts
I hope you all can forgive me for my absence. If you'd like to find me somewhere I'm more active, all my links are on my linktree. You can also check any of my blogs listed in the pinned post on my (also inactive lol) main, @virtual-vivi . I will probably be most active on my (brand new) Beatles blog, @vivi-in-the-sky-with-diamonds, as The Beatles are my current special interest (ironically trad lol). Thank you to everyone who has continued to follow me despite my absence.
xoxo ViVi
I feel like not a lot of people talk about how being trad doesn't mean you have to only have trad interests. For as long I can remember, I've played video games and still enjoy it to this day. And no, they're not all feminine games, such as the Sims or Animal Crossing (though these are my favorites right now). Throughout my years, I've played many games, ranging from the previously mentioned ones to Skyrim and Oblivion to choice-based games such as Detroit: Become Human, to even jumpscare based games like Five Nights at Freddy's. Do not let anyone tell you that, just because you're trad, you can't enjoy certain things.

Jobs for the homemaker
So a lot of the trad community doesn’t always recognize that some housewives may need to have a job, so I thought I’d make a list of some jobs that may allow a stay at home wife and mother lifestyle!
babysitting, Nannying, in-home daycare, etc.: Childcare is an amazing way to stay in your home, while making money! Plus you may get some much needed practice for your own little ones! Not to mention you may chose to work with older kids and tutor or teach homeschool lessons for other families!
Blogging: as much as many of you wish to stay offline, blogging and writing can bring in a few extra bucks without having to leave your home nor have a boss slumped over your shoulder!
Crafts: making and selling handmade items such as paintings, ceramics, sewn clothing, customized shirts or baby onesies, dolls, dollhouses, wood working, etc can help you pursue a hobby and make money while doing it!
Food or animal products: anything that comes from homestead animals can be turned into stuff people would like to buy! Your grown plants can make herbal teas, you could make jams or preserves, milk from a cow or goat, fresh eggs, wool from your sheep. It can all be turned into things you can sell! Plus, especially for your sheep, it can really help relieve your animals and prevent many of their health issues!
Baked goods: who doesn’t love baked goods? Cookies, pie, cakes, muffins, etc.! If you can find a local community market, you can bring in some money by selling baked goods!
One or more of the above is what I want to be able to do to help out my husband. I’m currently penciled in for my certificate to teach preschool, which will really help prove myself to potential nanny clients! Plus I love baking and I would love to dip my toes into the realm of reborning. (Thats painting vinyl doll kits to look like real babies! If you want to see the collection of the dolls i’ve purchased from artists please dm me!)
If you have any to add please do!
If a potential partner’s porn use makes you uncomfortable, you can just refuse to date them.
You don’t have to ‘work through’ your aversion to it, it’s not something that ‘everybody does.’ If it makes you uncomfortable, that’s reason enough to refuse. It’s incompatible with your values and you don’t have to justify it beyond that.
It isn’t controlling or insecure to say ‘I don’t want to date someone who watches porn, if you choose to continue to do so, I’m not going to continue the relationship.’
You don’t have to accept it.
Yesterday, one of my preschoolers came up to me very concerned, and said, “Miss ____, this book doesn’t have any pages!”
Now, this kid is only three, and I can’t always understand what he says because he’s still so little. However, he carries himself and has the conversational lilt of an 80-year-old academic, so I absolutely believed him. Also, like any library, not all of our books have been as gently used as one might like, so there’s always a chance that the pages of the book this kid was holding actually had fallen out somewhere, and he was only holding the cover. I hurried over to see if this was the case and he opened the book for me, still very concerned.
He had only opened to the end sheet, that blank page at the front of a book. I turned the page for him to reveal the title page. This look of absolute relief crossed his face and he went, “Oh, silly me. I didn’t look hard enough!”
I love kids.
Always wear your cutest outfit. Stop saving so many looks for “special occasions”. You showing up is a special occasion. Look your best.
How will the world end?
it’s genuinely not something i think too much about. there are people to love and dishes to do in the meantime.

What is traditionalism? Tradition is the opposite of universalism, for there are always many traditions (plural). Each culture, each people, and each family within each people has its own signature history, its own customs and typical dress. And so, traditionalist peoples bring forth the very cultural diversity without which there could never have been modern-day "multiculturalism".

Kind of in the mood to be married
Important homemaking skills that aren’t cooking, baking, or sewing:
First Aid and CPR (for adult, child, and infant)
This is especially good if you plan to live out in the country away from most modern conveniences! We want to make sure we’re well equipped to care for our family if something really bad happens. My personal goal is to get First Aid and CPR certifications within the next couple of years.
Foraging
Learn your local wild flora and get to finding wild, nutritious, tasty treats for your family. This is a really fun one too and there’s tons of apps to help you identify plants. I personally use Picture This as well as the numerous articles online to help me.
Cheesemaking
This is sort of in the cooking realm, but highly overlooked. People tend to find it intimidating, but a lot of cheeses are simple with the right equipment. This is especially good if you want a dairy cow in the future. Start out with a simple mozzarella recipe and you’ll be on your way!
Water purification
This one I’m still in the process of learning about, but if worst came to worst, water is the most important resource to have. There are all sorts of different water purification systems to look into and you can kind of drag yourself down a rabbit hole.
Canning
A very common one, but still very important. There’s tons of resources on it! Your grandma might even know a thing or two.
Gardening
Whether it’s pretty flowers or an entire vegetable garden you want to grow, homemakers should know the basics of growing our little green friends.
Conversational/social graces
My husband works in a job where he needs to impress powerful people. Part of that is bringing me along to lunches and dinners where I get all dolled up. By smiling, being polite, and reflecting well on my husband, these men gain a major respect for him. And speaking as a naturally very shy person, most people love to hear themselves talk, so most the time a good smile and nod is all you need in a conversation.
Home decor
Learn what you like in a home. Make your home a place you actually want to be. Be idealistic and plan your home out to be a beautiful, warm safe space for all who come in.
Manners
There’s a time and a place for messiness, but there is also a time for calm. Learn some old style manners. It gives off a level of charm rarely seen today.
Feel free to reply with more skills that are important to homemaking! Homemaking is a dying art with so many different aspects and skills associated. Some skills are needed in some families and others aren’t at all! Find what works best for your family as we all learn homemaking together 💕💕
