Jesus Christ the 1989 vault tracks absolutely slap.
Where are the women who protested in January?
This is not the first batch of hair found being smuggled at the borders. Many of the hair bundles do not meet the criteria for wig manufacturing. So who took this hair and from where?
The families of women who were given the bodies of their loved ones tell tales of horrors. Signs of torture, mutilated bodies, missing organs.
A lot of these women remain nameless and missing. Where are the Iranian women who protested during January 8 & 9?
and if you'd never come for me might've drowned in the melancholy

(no beers in) what is every thought you’ve ever had about me ever
Every time amber heard gets brought up as the butt of a joke I am obviously expected to agree with and accept, I face this internal battle. Like it’s often this aside in conversation where I don’t want to derail the larger point, depending on the person. But also. Did you know it was a civil case? Did you know she was sued over the op-Ed about dv that did not mention Depp by name? Did you know about their age gap when they first met? Did you know about his extensive, and expensively suppressed, history of violence and abuse? Did you know about the perfume in the bathroom during the trial? Have you read The Gift of Fear (and thus know that certain abusers prolong abuse within the courts)? Did you ever consider that the inundation of reels and other short form videos during that joke of a trial, was by design? Did you know I don’t much use Facebook, or YouTube, but whether logged out or logged in, all my suggestions were cruelly mocking her?? Did you know about the Saudi money? Did you know we all have a predisposition to savage women? Did you know we are all excited when we have an excuse to direct misogyny towards a rationalized target? Did you know expressing misogyny is conditioned to inherently feel good? Did you ever wonder if you fell for a scheme on a scale beyond the comprehension of the ordinary individual, within scope, expense, and effort? Nah she’s probably just a bitch.
I don’t think you have to forgive your bullies but you absolutely do have to come to terms with the fact that you’re probably not going to have that magical moment where you’re rich and successful with a vibrant social life and they’re a twice divorced unemployed schlub who’s stuck in whatever type of job that’s most demeaning to you and you get to tell them all of the things you wanted to tell them and then they apologize and kill themselves and that they probably are living a totally normal and unexceptionable existence because life and likely don’t even remember that they hurt you because life doesn’t have some magical moral equalizer button and realize that you don’t owe them revenge anyway because your life is yours to live not theirs and that no that person that’s prettier than you or more successful than you is not actually your bully in disguise and they didn’t do anything to merit being the misplaced target of your trauma and resentment.
I should thank my body for letting me know precisely when I’ve ovulated and from what side but it’s difficult to see the silver lining when that knowledge is because I get intermittent discomfort for a couple of days in the lead-up, and more intense pain for like 24 hours afterwards.
Like yes, my little right ovary. Thanks for doing your job this month. I do love your (our) work, I just wish you could be a little quieter about it.
I think in retrospect one thing that will be historically notable about the 2020s is the use of online smear campaigns against powerful women. Like it’s extremely frightening. So many of them also were quite literally funded by men who were angry about “getting MeTooed” and wanted to ruin a woman’s life the same way.
The most frightening part is what happens when you discuss these women or overhear discussions about them in real life. The internet moves on, sometimes like with Amber Heard it even course corrects. But you bring up these women’s names to your coworkers or your aunt or whoever and they wrinkle their noses. Isn’t she a terrible person though? And you can’t really convince them otherwise, not fully. That’s the goal of these smear tactics, to create a big poison mushroom cloud that EVERYONE inhales and once the normies log off you’re marked forever, even after your name is cleared a week later.
Men figured out that calling a woman’s morals into question (whether warranted or not) and then buying a bunch of bots or goading mentally ill freaks to act hysterical about it does tarnish a woman’s reputation exactly the same way that serious sexual assault and violent crime cases tarnish a man’s.
I remember when I did this leadership thing in 2024 it told me one of my key motivators was recognition/acknowledgment and I thought ‘wow!! That sounds shallow! Surely not’ but it’s fully true 🫠
Real Sweet Dee ‘tell me I’m good!’ Hours.
I literally hate my job for the first time in my life and it comes down to a few factors:
There’s no promotion opportunities until my boss retires. Why would I care to put in extra work above and beyond what is required and really push myself (which I have historically done and don’t mind doing) if there’s not a goal to work towards?
Political factors outside my control (i.e. ongoing stoushes between two of my clients and the personalities/personal friendships of senior leadership staff from those clients) limit my ability to expand into areas of law I want to practice, and make navigating work a minefield.
Those same political factors have meant that despite having the requisite skills and experience, I was overlooked for a development opportunity.
My boss takes any expression of dissatisfaction as a sign you’re not dedicated to the team, and responds by denying opportunities (this hasn’t happened to me, I’ve heard my boss say this about other people).
Like at this point the only reason I’m staying is so I don’t lose my accrued leave/because I’m worried about not getting parental leave if I start at a new place and end up pregnant. That’s it. I hate it.
I have started a bookstagram and it’s not very popular because I don’t care about publicising myself and I’m no good at social media. I just like seeing what cool books other people are reading and sharing my thoughts.
The issue though, is that I read a lot of progressive political and history books so I’ve inadvertently cultivated a leftie space which means like… absolutely no chat about the Cormoran Strike books (on tenterhooks waiting for Sleep Tight Evangeline) or feminist theory that doesn’t toe the line. I feel like I can’t even post about the true crime books I read (unless the crime is state-sponsored or corporate espionage)🙄.
I do feel a bit stymied with it, but my handle is a riff off my name and people on the internet are insane and I don’t particularly feel like getting doxxed or having my employer contacted by some fucking lunatic who needs to touch grass.
Like maybe I am bossy because I felt insecure about things being ok during childhood and the only way I could quiet that was by optimising the outcome for everyone. Maybe I am hyper-independent because I didn’t feel that I could rely on anyone. Maybe I do look down on people who can’t knuckle down and get through tough shit because I never had any choice but to do that. Maybe I am defensive and maybe I do feel a strong need to be ‘understood’ during conflict. Maybe that all stems from childhood.
But like, who cares? Nobody is perfect, I take the input of people I love on board, I don’t need to change who I am.
so good and i think that really goes for everything.
