Look, imma keep this short.

Unless you're doing trad craft, just use whatever you want for your spells. Intent may not be the whole thing, but the props are just there for shape and structure. Yes, there are traditional reasons for everything, and if you want to use them so be it. But you can get along just fine with spices and herbs from Dollar tree, rocks from outside, and yes, led candles.

Witches used what they had. So can you.

Hey! I’m a queer witch who’s fallen on some hard luck. I get paid on Tuesday, but I’ve fallen on hard times and have a few unexpected expenses stacking up right now and I’m COMPLETELY broke. I busted one of my bike tubes, and my bike is my main mode of transportation to and from work, and I’ve been walking 2 hours to and from work for the past couple of days. The Search For A Moonblood Goddess

I scoured the internet for goddesses associated with menstruation, but barely found anything. If history has wiped out all but a trace of moonblood goddesses, it’s up to us to claim them back.

♥️ My research into red goddesses brought up a lot of emotions, especially about history as “his story.” Her story was clearly missing.

♥️ After looking through several 📚 and dozens of websites, I was able to create a list of some goddesses who preside over moonblood. Behold, the first list of the menstruation goddesses on the internet, in the blog link above.

What I Thought Being a Witch was like: living in a tiny cabin in the woods, picking wildflowers and herbs for tea, dancing under the full 🌙, manifesting 💰 like it’s as easy as breathing, growing older with the same deities, and transcending the “mundane” 🌍.

What Being a Witch is Actually Like: changing deities as often as it feels right, 💰 comes but I work for it, living in a 🏠 in the suburbs but it still feels peaceful, buying teas at an independent coffee/tea store, living in the “mundane” 🌍 but making a huge difference in people’s lives and voting every election, therapy, clutching my crystals, and full and new 🌙 rituals with dancing. I still dream about that cabin, though.

🌕 Full Moon 🌕

The Full Moon is the culminating point in the lunar cycle. It occurs approximately two weeks after the New Moon and is fully illuminated in the night sky.

In witchcraft, all the preparation you have done since the New Moon manifests during the Full Moon phase. It is also a time for big spells or rituals that require a lot of energy. Since the Moon is at its fullest and brightest, its energies are also at their peak.

Some things to do during a Full Moon:

Draw down the Moon - this is a ritual with roots in pagan and Wiccan traditions and has a lot of significance to those beliefs. Wiccans also celebrate the Full Moon with Esbat rituals that they perfom with their covens.

Full Moon wishes - Because the Full Moon’s energies represent manifestation, sending your wishes into the universe during this phase packs a bigger punch. A few ways to do this are: write your wish(es) on a bay leaf and burn them, create a wish jar and fill it with items that correspond to your desire and leave it out to soak up the Moon’s energy.

Charge and cleanse your magical items and crystals - pretty self explanatory, but if you are unsure what I mean, gather up your favorite crystals, set them out under a Full Moon and retrieve them before sunrise. They will be extra powerful afterwards!

Make Moon Water - grab a glass jar with a lid and fill it with water (any kind works, filtered if you plan on drinking it). Place the jar outside under the Full Moon and bring it in before sunrise the next day. Now you have magical water imbued with the Moon’s energies. Use it for potions or spells or to make your favorite cup of coffee or tea when you need a magical boost. I put some in my coffee pot every morning and I have a little vial full of Moon Water on my altar that I use to finish off spell jars and things.

Full lunar eclipse on January 31st

There is a lunar eclipse in the USA in two days and I saw a girl on twitter who I know practices wicca saying it has some large effect to people with Leo and Aquarius in their charts/ houses.

I have a leo moon and Aquarius midheaven… I wonder what this means or the eclipse means in general. I am not too knowledgeable on astrology and cosmic witch craft yet I was wondering if anyone knew anything about it??

 I see people producing spells like candy, and it’s slightly alarming. Feel free to ask OP if they’ve performed the spell, before you do it yourself.  And it’s okay to be skeptical and to ask.

I’m always nervous by some of these bloggers who have new spells every damn second.

 Like slow down, have you even tested that? I think between fame and safety, safety is more of an issue. If it takes a bit longer to do a spell, then let it take longer, but this entire…culture of posting a spell every two seconds w/out testing is dangerous.

That’s why  I lowkley love when people actual post pics of what they’re doing, because you know they’ve done it.
