Another year of seeing my fave artists. Sure, you can listen to them anytime on Spotify, Youtube, or whatever app you prefer, but nothing beats seeing them perform live. 🥰
The year started off good with this great band. My PCD continued for more than a week. 😆I am not a super fan. I only know my favorites, but Coldplay is Coldplay. 😌
Been seeing videos of their tour in Tiktok, and been wanting to be in that crowd. The queue to the ticket selling was sooo crazy, and tickets were so expensive but I just closed my eyes when I confirmed my purchase. Maharl! 🤣 Salamat kay bro na nagpahiram ng CC 😂
First PH Arena experience and I must say, it was sooo draining. Buti kinaya ko nang walang tulog. 🙈 From gv shift, tumbling agad to Bulacan. Had to be there early sa venue kasi baka ma Bruno Mars at wala nang abutan. 😅 Nabunggo sa toll gate ang sinakyan namin, to the long lines for food stalls and cr, naki pila pa nga sa merch for hours, and super crazy line entering the arena na inulan pa kami ng very light - all totally worth it when you get to see them play live. Been to quite a few concerts but the Coldplay magic is really something. Maraming pasabog! 🙌🏻 I definitely want Something Just Like This again! ❤️
Nastress pa nga ako sa mga nasa harap namin na ang tatangkad at ang lilikot! PDA to the max ang mga ferson. Tapos tipong ang ayos na ng angle mo for the video, biglang lilitaw ulo nila sa video mo na nakiki anggulo din 😭 Urgh!
Was supposed to watch on Day 1. And muntik pang walang kasama, but the stars aligned (char! 😂) I’m so glad to have watched it with my dear friend, Biwan Fima! 🥰❤️
February - Rivermaya: The Reunion
Was not supposed to watch them cause I don’t have someone to go with, and the venue is not so giving, though I really want to because we don’t know if there’s another reunion concert, right? Hahaha! Open-ground and so hard to commute. I remember hearing their song Kisapmata while on my way home from work a few weeks before their concert. I even posted it as Myday with a caption, “Rivermaya, cutie.” And lo and behold, got last minute tickets! Pina lalamove pa nga. Pikitmata na lang and trusted the seller and lala driver. Got a sponsor for this. Hihihihi. Thank you! 🥰❤️
Their songs bring back childhood memories too, though I am only familiar with Bamboo and Rico. OPM still hits different. ☺️
April - BLG with We the Kings
Forced my cousin to watch them with me. Hahahaha! BLG is one of my faves, listening to them when I was in college. This is the 2nd time that I’ve been to their concert and the PCD is still crazy. They’re even my top band in Spotify. Hahaha. We the Kings is their oncore band, and though I only know a few of their songs, I still loved their setlist. We were only expecting them to sing around 5 songs, but damn, they sang a lot. It’s like we went to 2 concerts! So sulit!
The section I was on was not that hyped though. Yeah, the section is seated, but come on, people remained seated even when BLG played their top hits? Dedma, even if I am the only one standing in our row, it didn’t stop me from having fun. 🥰
June - Jason Wade and the best of Lifehouse
Another concert with my cousin, though we were seated separately. Kapanahunan namin eh. Hahahaha! It was an acoustic set, and it feels so refreshing because it was held in New Frontier Theater, so it was kind of intimate. Their songs brings back childhood days, too. Jason sang a few new songs, too. This night was somehow different because we were not in a hurry to go to the venue because we booked a room just a block away from NFT. And going home was no hassle booking a grab ride because we just walked back to the hotel. Talk about convenience! 😁 My daughter was with my cousin’s friend while we were at the concert. Next year, she’ll be with me watching concerts. 🥰
August - Secondhand Serenade
Aaaaaah. Another emo band which brings back college memories. I went with a college friend, too! Hahaha! She is not that big of a fan though, but she knows their songs. Another quite intimate night because the venue was in NFT. Can’t help but sing to their songs, though I can say that I am not an emo girlie even before. Not someone you can see with dark clothes, black bracelets, eyeliners, or even emo hairstyle. I just love their songs even if I cannot really relate. Hahahah!
September - David Archuleta
My last concert for 2024. David’s really charming, though he’s not really my super crush way back. More like I was influenced by my friend. Hahaha! Was rooting for him to win AI then, but even though he was not the WMWG that year, (iykyk. hahahah!) he did great creating songs and had a lot of hits. Went solo this time, but I made a friend whom I sold my extra tickets to. 🥰 ‘Twas a fun concert because he really interacted a lot with the audience. He shared his struggle calling off the plans with his ex fiance and telling his mom when he came out gay. Happy for him because he is now doing what he truly love, and being true to his self. It was a great surprise too when he sang with Morisette. He also sang the OPM song Forvermore. 🥰
That’s all for 2024! Though I had my biggest concert TOTGA this year. Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. 🥺💔 I was supposed to see them, even had tickets already. But priorities come first. Had a really bad misfortune and dominoed to a lot of things, so I had to sell my tickets for more funds for my daughter’s 7th birthday. I am happy with the outcome though, my daughter was very happy 🥰🥹, and RJA said that they’ll be back soon. So will keep on crossing my fingers so I can watch them then. 😊🤞🏻
2025's line up is more on taking 90s kids back to memory lane. There's The Script, The Corrs, M2M (can't wait for this!), and BLG will be back with Secondhand Serenade and The Click Five! Aaaaaah! Exciting it is! 🥰🫶🏻
