It peeves me when something I misunderstood has already been clarified, and having admitted that I was in the wrong, I try to explain what my misconception was, to explain the internal logic of why my clearly erroneous first assumption felt sensible before, and the other person keeps arguing that my original wrong idea is wrong like you're both still arguing about it.
