Update to my Valve episode: gameplay video and a new trailer for Back 4 Blood, the Left 4 Dead spiritual successor!
I’m so unbelievably excited for this, I wasn’t expecting to hear any solid news about this game anytime soon :)
Supplemental A of Episode 5:
Here’s a quick supplemental video for you guys. This shows all the cool cutscenes from The Neverhood - for a puzzle based game in a very bizarre world, it has some pretty interesting story and some cool characters. This video really makes me wish claymation was more popular, because it’s a very unique style and I love it a lot.
The part I talked about in today’s episode (with Klogg’s face) is at 20:11, but I’d encourage watching more of the video as well!

Supplemental A of Episode 4
I just wanted to share a video regarding former Telltale employees’ views on the closure of the studio. It’s pretty long, and I’ve admittedly not watched the whole thing myself, but it’s very interesting to get this insight into the gaming industry - and how bad it truly is.
I also want to share this comment on the video:
I 100% agree with this, and I think it would be the perfect combination. Telltale’s main success came from the IP’s they used - and, if The Wolf Among Us was any indication, the IP’s don’t even need to be huge or popular (who knows what Fables is?). It’s a studio I think would be best paired with a different company, such as Netflix, and I hope we get to see something like that in the future.

‘Monster Maker III’ is a turn based RPG by Sofel on the Super Famicom, with a lot of cool artwork! This was the cover artwork.
I absolutely love this blog - some very classic bits of nostalgia!
Game Box, 2001
Despite being an actual baby at the time it was biggest, some of my best and most nostalgic gaming memories are from the N64 era. Definitely want to cover more games from this (anyone remember Mischief Makers?)
CLASSIC bit of nostalgia, this always makes me feel so happy
That Banjo-Kazooie reaction tho.
Absolutely love this video, really helps show how extremely hype people were - and for good reason. Banjo was always my most wanted Smash character, but I never thought I’d see the day where he was actually added
A country bumpkin and an asshole.
Every piece of Banjo-Kazooie fanart only helps to fuel my craving for a remastered game

Supplemental A of Episode 3
As I said in the episode, while critics may have loved Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts, fans were less than impressed. A lot of people in these reviews echoed the thoughts I had on the show:
Of course, there are still fans of this game, and I agree with what they say as well:
But perhaps my favorite review, echoing the exact way I feel every time I see screenshots of Nuts and Bolts:
