Riot - Emulsion Print on MDF “ #Riot is the language of the #unheard” - Martin Luther King Taken from #close-up #CCTV #footage of the #Manchester #riots, this is an #emulsion #print that I made on a small #MDF #board #creating a #white #noise like #texture with a #grainy, #speckled finish. I recreated many pieces, #paintings and prints that #mimic CCTV #monitors. The #dialogue that I feel is necessary here, is how we are #filmed almost everywhere, but the #footage is so often #unlikely to be used as #evidence to help. Instead, the #camera acts as a #threatening, #watchful #eye that #demands ‘correct’ #behaviour.

Reach - Pencil on paqper 2016 ✏ This was a #commission for a #friend who left me the reigns to do as I felt the #photograph needed. I #love having that #creative #freedom to #draw in a way that I #feel would #translate the #emotion of the #image #best. This #sketch took me a few hours to complete over 3 sittings and it also went up in an #exhibition at 212 Gallery in London in September. #Drawing like this gives me a #fuel that is hard to compare against anything else.. it is so #satisfying to look at a #finished #piece and know it's done the way you wanted it to be done and that most importantly it works. ✌

Red Tie, Green Anorak, Lady in Pink, Fat Man - Oil on canvas - I produced these during my time at University whilst studying the commuters in central London during the morning rat race. It was an awesome experience. I found it interesting to watch people passing by one another, with a loss of identity, just bodies becoming mere shapes moving through insignificant locations to a place where they matter. I studied existentialism and non-places and my concepts grew with time and experiments.
