I did not choose to be a writer to be fucking suck at it.
I did not choose to be a writer to be fucking suck at it.
The funny thing is that I haven’t been writing much (despite the mainstream jobs that I do). It’s been months since I penned down an essay on something. I write essays, then turn them into blogs and stuff. But that’s not happening lately. Note to self:I need to get more determined if I am going to earn some shit through the thing that I am onto right now. You see I’m writing at the moment.…

Life's bitter-sweet taste
When your heart aches, play a sad song, my friend told me. In the moments of hardships and despair listen to a poem to calm down.
Find music in the streets, see the artwork in clouds. DM an artist, talk about blissful moments of this flawed life.
Intellects say that life is absurd but I've seen an old woman explaining the meaning of life to a 10-year-old. I'm sure it will lead him somewhere.
A lover once said to me, in this life we are bound to go through it all.
And as we face a fair share of fair and unfair times, we learn how to feel life. If you haven't learned it yet, don't worry, it's all right.
Sooner or later you will pick your pace. Some of your efforts will be successful and some will go to waste.
But in the end, you'll be pleased with a bitter-sweet taste.
Feminism 101: If you call yourself a feminist, you must start saying thank you.
Say thank you. Say thank you to the women who gave you a voice. Say thank you to the women who were arrested and imprisoned and beaten and gassed for you to have a voice. Say thank you to the women who refused to back down, to the women who fought tirelessly to give you a voice. Say thank you to the women who put their lives on hold, who –lucky for you — did not have “better things to do” than to march and protest and rally for your voice. So you don’t feel like a “second class citizen.” So you get to feel “equal.” - Dina Ley, Philadelphia, PA, USA.
Do not forget to thank the ones who have done the dirty work. Who suffered, fought and cried so that women today can be free and equal as their male counterparts.
I’d get it if you may despise the idea of living under the greatness of men but you are certainly living under the greatness of other women who have done their parts in all fairness and perhaps more. The irony would be if you call yourself a feminist and do not know how to be one.
Stuck in perfection
Is perfectionism hurting your productivity? “Too many people spend too much time trying to perfect something before they actually do it. Instead of waiting for perfection, run with what you go, and fix it along the way…”― Paul Arden Perhaps you have want to start something but waiting for your moment to arrive, or you have a list of incomplete tasks begging for you to finish but you’re waiting…

It’s something that helps the entire high-risk industry to increase their success rate, reduce mistakes and increase productivity. What’s the one thing that must happen at NASA before any rocket launch or a major event? Yes, you are right. There could be shitloads of…

Being an amateur is not a bad thing
Being an amateur is not a bad thing
Photo by Suzy Hazelwood on Pexels.com If I were to claim that ‘amateur is one of the most misunderstood and stigmatised words in history, I’d be placing my bet right. Amateur does not mean that you suck at something. That’s what it’s being understood as. We have to unlearn the meaning of the word ‘amateur’ and have a look at the etymology. Amateur is a French word that actually means ‘a lover…

Monks don’t give a fu*k
Monks don’t give a fu*k
An easy guide to training your monkey mind into a productive mind. What does a 2,500 years old religion (Buddhism) teach us about productivity? No Fu*ks To Give Let’s start with a story that has an important lesson. Here’s a scenario for you to imagine: You’re working in your home office, with superb determination. All of sudden you hear your dog barking and then the sound fades out…

Stand up and fight One of Woodie Guthrie’s resolutions was to “Wake up and fight.” But he wasn’t talking about being a bully. Or picking a fight at the local bar. He was talking about changing the culture. He was challenging himself to push back against the doubters, and even more than that, to overcome his own self-doubt. The culture is created by all of us. It might feel as though it’s done to us, but it’s also created by us. Wake up, stand up and fight. Make things better.
Seth Godin
The schools might be killing creativity
The schools might be killing creativity
The purpose of education is to train young minds for the future, which no body has seen. So, who gets to decide what's there in future for kids and inevitably is the best?
The Education System is Boring
The education is not that interesting for most of the kids because the methodology is old.
Technically, the board of universities have designed the education system which was perfectly…

Why most businesses are like toddlers
Why most businesses are like toddlers
Stop trying to get everybody’s attention! Photo by Fernanda Greppe on Unsplash
The little humans are the best and possibly the cutest creatures, but they also have a bad reputation for being selfish. They want your attention all-the-time.
Toddlers think whatever they do is EPIC. Quite narcissistic, right? That’s one common trait between most businesses and toddlers.
Don’t entrepreneurs and…

Why it’s not a bad idea to copy what’s been done already
Why it’s not a bad idea to copy what’s been done already
Nothing’s original. Everything is a copy of a copy of a copy.
Yes, this picture is a bit extreme, isn’t it? Anyway, please read your blog 🙂
Let’s admit it we’ve all done some copying, I mean, who doesn’t? But do you feel like you’re ripping somebody off?
I remember when I started out writing, I’d collect some information from here and there and re-write it to give it my own voice. And I knew that…

Writing isn’t hard
Photo by Thom Milkovic on UnsplashYes, writing isn’t hard, thinking is.
Sir, William Zinsser once said:
“Writing is linear and sequential; Sentence B must follow Sentence A, and Sentence C must follow Sentence B, and eventually, you get to Sentence Z. The hard part of writing isn’t the writing; it’s the thinking. You can solve most of your writing problems if you stop after every sentence and ask:

My work is emotionally autobiographical. It has no relationship to the actual events of my life, but it reflects the emotional currents of my life. I try to work every day because you have no refuge but writing. When you’re going through a period of unhappiness, a broken love affair, the death of someone you love, or some other disorder in your life, then you have no refuge but writing.
TENNESSEE WILLIAMS
Lesson learned: It’s not bad to write with a formula
It is not at all bad to take inspiration from something which had been done in the past. We need to know why are we creating something. Then, look for the resources. The brilliance is in doing so with uniqueness and leave your essence in your own creation. The concept of James Bond was not created but was inspired by a WW2 spy goes by the code name "White Rabbit". His work caught the eye of creator Ian Fleming, who constructed the most lethal spy ever, Bond. James Bond. There are 26 James Bond movies made so far, with a formula that belongs to the character itself. Get a formula, bitches.
Writing is the process of turning coffee into ink.
