Just try your best, get off your phone as much as you can, honor your hurt feelings and also the hurt feelings of others, favor sincerity over nonchalance whenever it’s appropriate to, reach out to people you miss, let go of people when it’s time, operate from a deeply rooted self respect rather than from a lens of what people think, try your best to read the room, sit in the sun on overcast days (with sunscreen on), drink lots of water, pursue everything you want aggressively, accept that your timeline will be different, welcome detours if circumstances call for them, hold both yourself and others accountable, try to move your body as much as you can and you will be okay diva

you are not immune to inventing an arbitrary set of rules that only you have to adhere to
I wouldn't even be a religious person were it not for poetry, which has not only repeatedly brought me into contact with an other, but has seemed to demand something of me in its wake—very like Teresa's visions. But poetry remains perpetually open. God moves through art but doesn't get stuck there. I sometimes think he gets stuck in theology—fixed, frozen, and therefore inevitably falsified.

People sometimes say that God becomes clearer in moments of suffering, but this is not necessarily true. What becomes clear is one's longing for God. Everything is stripped away, and very little else seems to matter.

Moonbows
A moonbow, also known as a lunar rainbow or white rainbow, is a rainbow created by moonlight rather than sunlight. It's formed when light from the moon refracts and reflects off water droplets, like those in rain or mist, creating a visible arc of light in the sky. Moonbows are generally fainter and less colorful than regular rainbows, and they are much rarer due to the need for specific conditions like a full or near-full moon, clear skies, and dark skies.

Jean Cocteau, in a letter to Jean Marais, September 9, 1939
[I am the happiest man in the world. Is there such a thing as happy people? As for us, not even the apocalypse can separate us. It is a great mystery. The day after that terrible date, I felt an astounding calm; it was the tremendous certainty of your heart and mine traveling and intertwining like waves. These were the waves of our love mingling and singing in the silence. Glory is nothing compared to love. Our glory is lov[ing] one another. “I am happy to love you”... This little phrase of yours is worth risking it all. Because of it, I can accept this tragedy and this darkness we are going through. I pity those who remain indifferent for they do not love with all their might.]
